Mate's Pull

     I never talk to anyone about what happened last night, the encounter with Luna. Because I think Tia will be angry at me because I disobeyed her rules to not talk to Luna. Morning and as promised by Pink she fetch me. And I got 5k for my wage for three days. Today is my day-off and I will come back tomorrow for another work. And again three days straight schedule. I think Luna is so generous and easy to work with but Tia is different. And Luna is suffering.

     I think I will buy something for Pink and Lucy. For celebration and for giving me the job. And now we are at Pi market and we are gonna eat in a cafe shop. This cafe shop is the only cafe shop in Kappa. Also Pink said the foods and drinks  here are delicious. Lucy and Pink did not take my offer but I insisted and eventually they gave up. We are now at the counter to order food. 

"I want some macaroons and frappe. All in strawberry flavor," Pink ordered.

"Dark coffee and dark chocolate cake,"  Lucy ordered.

"One piece of coffee with milk and bear cupcake please," I said. 

     The total of our bills is 678. That's a lot for me, but at least they are happy. I know we are different styles from each other even in choices of foods. 

"What time do you work Lucy?" Pink said while sipping her drink. 

"30 minutes after this," Lucy answered as she took a bite of her cake.

"What? Are you sure you're not gonna be late?" I asked.

"Don't worry Infinite. Lucy can run as fast as the plane," she proudly said.

     I nod in agreement because I saw her run. 

"What is your work Lucy?" I asked again.

"Delivering important letters in the municipality, Alpha's house and office. And also delivering food," she said.

"You work a lot," I commented.

"Yeah, because I am thinking of my future, I want me and my mate to have a house of our own," Lucy said.

"You met your mate?" I asked.

"Nope, I am still 17. For your information, 18 years old is when you will meet your mate," she said.

"Ahm you are advanced in thinking about your house," I said.

"Yeah she has a future ahead. While we are enjoying the moment we met our mate they are planning," Pink said and laughed loudly. 

"How about you Pink?"

"What about me?" Pink said to my question.

"What is your job?"

"I am an Eta. A training future Epsilon," she proudly said.

"What is that?" I really don't know the terms in Kappa. 

"Theta is a normal citizen in Kappa. Eta is training to be Epsilon, Zeta or working in a municipality," Pink said.

"That's the reason why Third is recognized as the genius werewolf and needed to be the next barangay captain," Lucy added.

"Epsilon is our barangay tanod. They are the one who secure us for rouge and other elements that can harm Theta. Zeta is our healer. Because we are werewolves, we need to heal ourselves by not exposing ourselves to Psi. And the municipality is the barangay captain. He is securing our funds and other political agendas in Psi," Pink continues. 

"So our Alpha is not the barangay captain?" I asked.

"Yes because being Alpha is a handful so Alpha needs a barangay captain to maintain the other needs," Pink confirmed.

"And what is Psi?" I asked again.

"A human, we call them Psi so they will never know that we are different when we are referring to them," Lucy answered.

"And also all of Psi's knowledge about us is different like Alpha and Luna and everything," Lucy said while rolling her eyes.

"You can learn our jargon and all the stuff about us in the school library," Pink said. 

"Thanks."

"Thank you for the food. I will go now for my job. See you later," Lucy said and zoomed out. 

"How about you Pink you don't have training?"

"Today is my day off. Aaahh being Eta is so hard. My body is always aching," she said.

"Then why did you choose to become Eta Epsilon then?"

"Because last year when I was 16 years old. I have an urge to be an Epsilon. You know something like pull, like a mate's pull. Like what Lucy's doing. She is doing one job for their future house," Pink explained.

"I don't understand," I honestly said.

"Well it is like if you feel something unusual to you like for example Lucy is a lazy werewolf but she suddenly wants to work hard for their future. And me obviously that I am pretty and only want easy stuff then suddenly I want to become Epsilon. That's a change of heart," she said.

"And what about the mates pull?"

"Meaning you can meet your mate very soon. And our Goddess is making our mind and body a sudden change of heart to cope in to your mates lifestyle. That's what I am saying," she said.

"So maybe your mate is Epsilon and Lucy's mate is in need of a house?" I asked.

"Yes and I am so excited to meet him. I will be his right hand in fighting. So Pink goes for it even though it's hard and painful," she said excitedly.

"How about our mate? Did they also feel their mates pull?" I asked. 

"Ofcourse." She smiles reassuringly.

     I am nervous about my mate. Actually, I am also thinking about not having a mate. I can't transform into a werewolf so there is a possibility that I don't have a mate. And I know if I will have a mate he will reject me as his mate. I felt a sudden needle in my chest. It hurts, the reality is so painful for me. 

     We go home after we eat in the cafe shop. Pink said to go to bed early so she will recover her strength. And before dinner was served Lucy came back with her body exhausted. She says she runs all day to deliver for her job. After dinner they collapsed in their bed and we slept early tonight. 

I woke up for my job in Liel's house. I went there not bothering Pink because I think she will suffer again from painful training today. I arrived and was greeted by Tia by commanding me to clean the backyard. I only left for one day and the backyard is full of leaves. Then after that she commanded me again to buy all this house needs in the Pi market. And suddenly an idea struck me, this a chance to sneak Luna out.
