Two Days Later
Hannah's POV
I laughed slightly earning a smile from her as my eyes ran over her once more.
"Okay, so what was your favourite line from that page?" I asked referring to the book, watching as she sat there in the deep thought probably trying to remember the line she had memorized to tell me.
"Now you are a broken seal, a scarlet stain upon the earth," she announced softly looking at me as I stood up moving to sit beside her.
"What does this mean to you?" I asked and she turned giving me her full attention.
"If you live in the past and wallow in pain, you only damage your future and people around you," she replied and I released a small smile, loving her perception of the few words offered.
"What's your quote?" She asked softly her light brown eyes staying with mine, she was so captivating.
"As soon as I glance at you a moment, I can't say a thing, and my tongue stiffens into silence, thin flames underneath my skin prickle and spark, a rush of blood booms in my ears, and then my eyes go dark," I repeated word for word.
"What does it mean to you?" She asked
"It represents the feeling you get, when you become attracted to someone, not just physically but mentally and spiritually, the feeling that falling in love evokes," I confessed my eyes moving to her lips for a split second before returning to her eyes.
"Have you ever been in love?" I asked her.
"No,"
"So I presume you can't relate to the feeling I just described?" I asked and she leaned forward slightly before moving back to where she was originally taking her top lip between her teeth, before releasing it.
"I-"
"Patience sweetheart," Claude called out cutting her off, immediately frustrating me and she turned facing him.
"Yes Claude," she replied her voice small
"I didn't know you were here," he announced taking a seat and I sighed knowing he didn't plan on leaving any time soon.
"I came to see Hannah," she replied
"You two have been getting awfully close, will Hannah be the maid of honour on our big day?" He asked smiling
"Her sister has already filled that position," I told him clearing my throat slightly wishing he would leave. He continued to talk and I sat there blocking out their conversation, not really interested. The thought of their soon to be union dampened my mood drastically, it was human nature to love, but to be this captivated by someone in a matter of weeks was a blessing, but also a curse since it was as forbidden as the fruit in the garden of Eden.
After what felt like hours he dismissed himself walking away, I watched as he left my limps relaxing slightly.
"I thought you said you've never been in love?" I asked looking over to her.
"This has nothing to do with love, it's more tradition, if I had a say I would gladly die alone," she replied making me smile.
"Spoken like a true bride," I joked and she rolled her eyes playfully.

Hannah's POVI sat on the swing rocking slightly as I took a sip from my glass of champagne, loving the fact that the trees and the night's sky worked together to shield me away from the crowds of people who were currently in the house, partying up a storm.I looked down at my feet that were pressed into the floor, knowing I would have to spend the night here since
Hannah's POVI laid there watching as she slept, she looked absolutely beautiful, carefree and peaceful. It was a pleasant sight since I hadn't seen her like this in long while no matter how much I tried, she was always in a bad mood leading up to her wedding and on the day there was nothing but anguish and longing present in her eyes.I could've fooled myself into
Hannah's POVI stood there placing more goods in the cupboard, ignoring the elephant in the room as I did so. She had been quiet since we left Walter's house. I knew I had overstepped last night, I wanted to apologize but I didn't know where to start, she was a married woman for God sake and I couldn't push away my emotions to respect the union she had with Claude.
Patience's POVI continued down the dirt path, with Claude by my side, it had become a habit, a part of my daily routine. This walk was where Claude would discuss the events that happened the day before since we rarely got time together because he was always busy with 'man's work' as well as the furnishing of our new home.It had been two days since I had last seen

Hannah's POVI sat there comfortably, my gaze of appreciation staying on her as she continued to read the poem I had asked her to. A small smile met my face as I took in the slight movements of her lips as she read which complimented her look of deep concentration."Ms Gails," I heard Ms Brown call out and I turned my head facing her, snapping out of my trance."What is this?" I asked softly frowning, taking the letter from her outstretched hands."It was sent by your father," she announced as I began pulling it open."Thank you, Ms Brown," I replied silently dismissing her, I leaned back in the chair as I unfolded the paper reading the words written.I'm writing this letter with nothing but disgrace and shame in mind, your actions have left me dishonoured and in utter disbelief. Mr Walters has informed me of your trespasses against him and his family, you shall return Mr Walters property at once, Patsy is not yours to k

Hannah's POVI felt shifting beside me the sounds of whimpers forcing my eyes open, I pulled my body from the bed reaching over shaking her slightly, realizing she was having another night-terror which would be the second one tonight."Patience," I called out twice and I watched as her eyes opened slowly, fear present in her gaze as she moved into my hold quickly r
