OWEN'S POV

The meeting flew by like a flash and I couldn't wait to get back to Charlotte. I had the perfect date spot in mind and all I had to do was make a reservation.

Everyone was reinstated back in their positions and Ethan was by my side as well. I would make him the director, but this would only make Caleb more suspicious, and it might cause a disaster. He'll get that promotion when Caleb is finally put in prison.

I gently rubbed my chest as an uneasy feeling crept inside of me. It felt very weird, like an impending disaster. A calm before the storm. And I would be lying if I said it didn't scare me.

I took out my phone and placed a reservation as I walked back to the office, a light bounce on my feet while I whistled softly. The thought of seeing Charlotte happy was enough to calm the raging storm inside me.
