Chapter thirty-six

“Where are you coming from, Larry?”

Liam's voice boomed suddenly, making him jump.

How did Liam manage to remain so still that he didn't even sense him? He had thought he could sneak back in unnoticed, with the hope that Liam would have gone back to his house. He was, however, surprised to see that Liam had been waiting for him at the clan house.

“Liam, you're still here?” He asked, trying to sound as casual as possible, but Liam was not buying it.

“I believe I asked you a question first,” He responded, his expression colder than his tone.

“Y—yes,” Larry suddenly found himself stammering and tried to calm himself down so Liam wouldn't see through him. “Y—you asked me to find out w—where Hadassah was…”

“And it took you this long to do that?” Liam fired.

“Yes! Actually, no. I felt sick. Look.” He raised his hands to show him. “I don't know what's happening to me, my hands are withering away and I've been feeling weak all day.”
