Ashley stared admiringly out the tall glass windows at the ocean. She shut her eyes and sucked in a deep breath. What she loved most about this place was the serenity it offered. Henry had proposed earlier that they go on a vacation in a beach house he owned. At first, she had protested but now as she watched the beautiful blue waves hit the shore, the soft whistling of the birds and the palm trees as they waved from side to side she was thankful that they did. They all needed the time away, Henry from his job and all the pressing demands. She had to get away from a lot too. Out here they could let go of all the obligations and demands of their busy lives. Here they could be one with nature and enjoy each other’s company truly. She couldn’t ask for anything more. She had made plans, she was going to turn off her phone and truly make the most of their time together here but she had to make one last call before she did that. She dialled her mother’s number. All her calls went unanswered
Ashley fastened the rope of the red silk robe she had on. She put out the candlelight and lit it again. Her nerves were all over the place and rightly so. After all, she was hoping to pull a surprise for Henry. She was finally ready if the truth was told however she had always been ready, and she had just put it off for a short time. She had wanted him as much as he did for a long time now. Her slight hesitation had put it off for a while but she was glad he was willing to wait and oh was she looking forward to it. She had put in extra effort today. There was time because Henry and Asher had spent the day out together, of course on her insistence. The bedroom had been tastefully decorated with rose petals and silk sheets. The soft music that filled the room, and the dim lighting coming from the lit candles and the fireplace gave the room a romantic ambience. She had also given herself a special treat. A spa day indeed did wonders for your looks and overall mood. She poured herself a
Her lips slowly curved into a smile when she remembered how he had made love to her all night. She stirred, her hands reached out patting the space beside her. She felt nothing, she jolted with a start. Her eyes frantically scanned the whole room and then she saw him. He was sitting on a chair, a table before him, there was a wide sheet in front of him. She saw him dip a brush into a bowl of paint. When he looked up at her, his ever-present smirk was on his face. “Good morning my love” he said in the most alluring voice. “Good morning” her voice was barely above a whisper. She bent her head in a bid to escape his intense gaze. He lightly chuckled. “How did you sleep?” he skilfully applied the paint on the paper. She cleared her throat. “Well, I guess and you?” “Just well?” he asked. “I have a vivid memory of last night and I can say your night was more than just well...” She bit down on her lower lip. “Breakfast is on the table” he gestured to the side table beside her. She nodd
“Yes Father” “I didn’t think a time would come when I would be repulsed by your voice saying that...” “Allen!” Mary shouted. Eric looked up at his father in surprise. Arnold stared blankly at his father. Allen stared at Arnold with disgust. “Your behaviour has been detestable to put it in the kindest terms. I have never been more ashamed to be your father, even more, so that you are my firstborn!” “You can’t speak to your son like that” Mary admonished. “This is not right.” Arnold’s jaw hardened. “No Mother, let him say all that he has to say...” “I envisioned better for you. A huge stake in the family’s business, everything that was mine would have been yours and your brother’s. I couldn’t be more disappointed. You have nothing to your name, you struggle financially, you struggle with your alcoholism, you party in the daytime when your mates are busy doing something meaningful, and now you have added drug use to your portfolio and a little jail time which would have been worse if
Ashley was washing some vegetables in the sink. Adam was in the kitchen with her, Asher in his arms. “I went through all of the pictures you took and it is safe to say you guys had a lovely time...” She smiled at him. “We did. Asher seemed to have the most fun amongst the three of us...” Adam laughed. They had returned yesterday, Henry had rushed into the office to address an issue that needed his urgent attention. She could have let the maids prepare dinner but she loved cooking for all of them and so she had sent them away to do the cooking herself. “You know it was much needed. We had all and our fair share of problems this past year...” He nodded in understanding. “The last vacation with his family was an absolute disaster, more unnerving than it was relaxing.” “I have met the Allens' and I can say they are really...” he hesitated. “...unkind people” Ashley laughed because she knew he was sugar-coating his words...” “Lately they were in the news for something horrible. The
Ashley laughed at something Henry said. He reached for her hands on the table, and just then they heard the raucous outside. They turned in the direction of the noise. “I will go check what it is about,” one of the men said with a slight tip of his head before rushing off. They waited for a moment but when the guard didn’t return and the noise didn’t quiet down they went to see what was happening. Her eyes widened when she saw Leonard struggling with two security men. Their grasp around him was firm, he was yelling at the top of his voice but they didn’t budge. “What is the matter?” Henry asked. “He insisted he wanted to meet with you” one of the men responded. “We have no idea how he found out your location, we kept things under wrap at best. He could be dangerous...” “Leonard...” Ashley called out to him. Henry turned to her, he saw the look of familiarity in her eyes when he turned back to the man he realised he knew him. “What are you doing here?” she asked in a soft tone.
This time his hands wandered along her body. He felt every curve of her body, ensuring his hands lingered, awaking emotions inside of her. Ashley leaned backwards as he leaned forward and kissed her tenderly but passionately. She stopped suddenly and looked behind. “I don’t mind giving them a show...” Ashley shuddered at the thought of it but he didn’t give her time to recover a bit. He captured her lips again. His tongue caressed her lower lip, loving the taste of the champagne on her lips. He suckled on her lower lip for a moment before doing the same to the top lip. He slipped his tongue into his mouth loving the rich taste of the champagne. Their tongues love wrestled against each other, his hands cupped her breasts squeezing through the thin material of her sheer bikini. He lifted her to the top step of the pool and pried her legs apart. “Fuck...” she cursed under her breath. Henry did not miss it. He bit down on his lower lip as he tried to steady his harsh breathing. If he d
Ashley went through lots of clothing in her walk-in closet. Last night had her tying up the loose ends of her presentation making sure it was a complete piece. She had tried picking up an outfit yesterday but it was hard to make a choice, seeing as she wanted to impress Henry and his team and it would be the first time she would be making a presentation. Henry had left earlier before her. She checked her watch. She still had a solid two hours before she was officially late. She flipped through the clothes on the hangers. She sighed, and just then her eyes caught a baby blue suit jacket. She peered at it in admiration. It looked formal enough for what she wanted to do and also still appealing. An hour and a couple of minutes later she was ready. Dressed in a finely cut light blue pantsuit. Her hair was straightened to perfection and tied up in a high ponytail. Her makeup and jewellery choice was minimal. She wore white low-heeled stilettos, the colour a match with the lacy camisole she
