Ashley laughed at something Henry said. He reached for her hands on the table, and just then they heard the raucous outside. They turned in the direction of the noise. “I will go check what it is about,” one of the men said with a slight tip of his head before rushing off. They waited for a moment but when the guard didn’t return and the noise didn’t quiet down they went to see what was happening. Her eyes widened when she saw Leonard struggling with two security men. Their grasp around him was firm, he was yelling at the top of his voice but they didn’t budge. “What is the matter?” Henry asked. “He insisted he wanted to meet with you” one of the men responded. “We have no idea how he found out your location, we kept things under wrap at best. He could be dangerous...” “Leonard...” Ashley called out to him. Henry turned to her, he saw the look of familiarity in her eyes when he turned back to the man he realised he knew him. “What are you doing here?” she asked in a soft tone.
This time his hands wandered along her body. He felt every curve of her body, ensuring his hands lingered, awaking emotions inside of her. Ashley leaned backwards as he leaned forward and kissed her tenderly but passionately. She stopped suddenly and looked behind. “I don’t mind giving them a show...” Ashley shuddered at the thought of it but he didn’t give her time to recover a bit. He captured her lips again. His tongue caressed her lower lip, loving the taste of the champagne on her lips. He suckled on her lower lip for a moment before doing the same to the top lip. He slipped his tongue into his mouth loving the rich taste of the champagne. Their tongues love wrestled against each other, his hands cupped her breasts squeezing through the thin material of her sheer bikini. He lifted her to the top step of the pool and pried her legs apart. “Fuck...” she cursed under her breath. Henry did not miss it. He bit down on his lower lip as he tried to steady his harsh breathing. If he d
Ashley went through lots of clothing in her walk-in closet. Last night had her tying up the loose ends of her presentation making sure it was a complete piece. She had tried picking up an outfit yesterday but it was hard to make a choice, seeing as she wanted to impress Henry and his team and it would be the first time she would be making a presentation. Henry had left earlier before her. She checked her watch. She still had a solid two hours before she was officially late. She flipped through the clothes on the hangers. She sighed, and just then her eyes caught a baby blue suit jacket. She peered at it in admiration. It looked formal enough for what she wanted to do and also still appealing. An hour and a couple of minutes later she was ready. Dressed in a finely cut light blue pantsuit. Her hair was straightened to perfection and tied up in a high ponytail. Her makeup and jewellery choice was minimal. She wore white low-heeled stilettos, the colour a match with the lacy camisole she
Ashley and Henry entwined fingers as they waited patiently to see their guest. Ashley had Asher on her thigh. Henry had purposely made a show of having the bodyguards around the place. He didn’t know if he could trust this man yet and more importantly he wanted him to know that he didn’t. When his mother had given him the information about the whereabouts of his father at first, he didn’t want to think about it. He knew he could have easily found his father if he wanted but he didn’t. He hurt him that his father had not made the first step to come look for him but after his mother’s revelation of the true state of things, he had considered it and now here he was with his family in the house of the man who had taken flight and abandoned him as a child. They had been welcomed by a woman who Henry had assumed was his wife but he didn’t want to ask because he didn’t want to show concern or curiosity, that was his father’s role to play. The adjoining door opened and instinctively Ashley s
Mason found it almost impossible to watch the house. The mansion was located in an area where not many cars passed through. If he passed by there a couple of times he would be flagged by the security men in the area. One time he had stopped a few yards away from the gigantic gate, and he was hassled by the security men. The mansion was too big for him to see anything. When Eric Allen offered him 20 million dollars to kill Henry Allen he jumped on the offer without a second thought. He had not thought about how hard it would be to kill Henry. At that time he had thought it a befitting revenge for all that Henry had done to him. He couldn’t even bring himself to tell Angela, he was too scared she would rat him out. This was a secret between him and Eric. Eric knew better than to tell anyone. He looked away from the house as he slowly drove by, he had to use different rental cars so as not to arouse suspicion. It was funny how the price tag of a billionaire's life was valued at only 20 m
Ashley took her hand and squeezed it. “Mother I am even more confused about what you are saying to me now. You distanced yourself from me, you showed no concern for me when I was hurting, and all you ever asked from me was money, every day and every night. That was all you did...” Her chest heaved. “We had screaming matches from time to time, my friend was terrified of you, putting up with you made me sad and miserable...” she sighed. “At first I explained it away. I told myself you were still struggling with losing a father and you needed time but I lost him too, I lost him too and the one thing I needed at that time was a mother, nothing more, nothing less...” Vera shook her head. “I was hurting but I would never want to push you away on purpose. I...I...admit I didn’t know how to deal with all I was going through. I promise you I wanted to tell you everything. We were in a fix, a bad one. We needed the money...” Ashley raked her fingers through her hair. “What was happening, mothe
Henry sat in the living room with Asher watching cartoons when his phone rang. He was all smiles when he saw the caller ID. He had refrained from calling her since he got back but he was glad that she did. “Did you miss me, babe?” “Henry Allen...” Henry shot up immediately at the sound of the voice on the other end, startling Asher. “What a prize our dear little Ashley has won” “Who are you?” Henry barked. “Let’s save ourselves the theatrics. I do not have the time. I haven’t bothered with a voice concealer so later you can do the homework or probably see me when you come...” “What do you want?” “Twenty million dollars. A drop of water in your ocean. I need you to bring it alone without all your goons or the police. A very simple task, if I notice anything suspicious your woman will be bleeding out the carpet floors in a second. So you might want to make only the right decisions...” There was a brief pause. Then a message entered his phone. It was a picture of Ashley, terror i
Ashley’s chest heaved as she stared at the scene before her. The men were finally leaving, she would have let out a breath of relief if Mason did not have his gun pointed at Henry a few yards away and Adrian pointing the gun at Mason. The tensions had not lessened. She didn’t know what to do. The men who had attacked them had taken all their phones with them so they couldn’t call the police. Just as they were about to leave, the big man who had held her in place, obstructed Adrian’s view. “You should count yourself lucky...” his voice was hoarse. Ashley turned back to look at Henry who still had a gun pointed at him. Then she saw it, Mason moving his hands, everyone else oblivious to it. It had happened too quickly and they were all focused on Adrian. The gun had been fired. She saw more than she felt her body move forward as fast as her legs could carry her to get to him, her hands outstretched in front of her, she shoved Henry out of the way. It took a lot of her strength to push hi
