Chapter 84

Kian's pov

I buried my spoon into the bowl of murky mac and cheese, it wasn't the most appealing meal in fact it was disgusting, to say the least, but eating deluxe meals was not the most problematic thing in my life I threw myself back on a rocking chair and gazed disapprovingly around my small motel room.

It had a couple of rotting furniture placed without thought and then there was also the wooden floor which creaked with every step I took. Sleeping here last night I was half expecting that the roof would even fall on me and was more than a little pleasantly surprised that it didn't.

Of course, I could have afforded the place that was far more expensive than this but what it lacked was the quality that it was made up for, for the reason why I came to the pack in the first place. This motel blended in with the rest of the neighborhood and it was surrounded by several other businesses and buildings acting like a barrier from the outside world.
