Chapter 156

Evelyn's pov

“Evelyn you have to stop right now, you have to stop or else you'll do something you're going to regret. You have to stop…”

I felt like I was floating and drowning at the same time, but piercing through all of that was this voice, it was familiar…but for some reason, I couldn't remember who, and yet I felt like I had to do what the voice said then all of a sudden, it was like I was being pulled out of a pond and I was gasping for fresh air.

There was something wet and yet slightly thick that seemed to run across my cheek. I brushed it with my fingers as I tried to get my bearings, just then I could feel somebody wrapping their hands around my shoulder and when I looked up, the face of my husband cleared and I was able to see properly.

I was just able to see the blood that stained my fingers and while I wanted to ask how it happened, I was trembling so much that my lips just shook and nothing came out. What was even worse was when I saw what could have been the answer. H
