Valeria POV

Today is finally the day of the meeting, and we left the pack a few hours ago. I don’t know how the meeting would go, but we came with men, just for our safety. I know nothing of the sort would happen, but Damien said we should be on the safer side.

“We are almost there,” he said. I looked outside the window, and I could see a tall wall. The car kept going, and soon we were at the gates. The cars were rolling in slowly, so I knew they were checking the cars.

“What are they checking for?” I asked.

“Weapons,” he said. I looked at him, confused.

“We can’t take weapons in. This is not our territory,” I said.

“Don’t worry; of course we are not going in without weapons. It’s well hidden,” he said. I nodded my head, and when it got to our car, we actually came down from the car, and they checked us. After the whole check, we were allowed in.

“It looks like a palace,” I said, looking at the vineyard as we passed.

“Well, technically, they are royalty,” Damien replied. We passed b

Valeria POV We all sat down in silence, waiting for him to make a decision. I was a bit nervous; obviously Damien would win, but I didn’t want to look down on Adrian, and he might just pull a nasty move like Kate and it would favour him. There is really no need to keep me with him; Damien would always challenge him. “Time wastes for no one, alpha Adrain,” Damien said. Adrain looked at me, and I recognised the anger in his eyes. They used to scare me, but now it’s more of a challenge. I feel challenged. He licked his lips, looking away from me. “I will give up my rights to your Luna. From now on, she will cease to be my bride or mate,” he said. My parents and the man sitting at the edge of the table looked at him in anger. “Surely you don’t mean that alpha Adrain; you promised to get my daughter back,” my father said. I rolled my eyes at him; he had totally turned me into an object. “Your daughter doesn’t want to be with you; give up and stop pestering me,” he snapped, standing up

Valeria POVThe ride back home was a really quiet one. Damien didn’t say a word; he only looked through the window, holding my hand. I expected him to be proud of himself for what he did; he defended his sister, defended me, and showed he wasn’t a coward. So why is he sad and all quiet? I didn’t say a word to him; I wanted us to get home, and when we did, he ignored everyone walking away.“What happened?” Luna asked, looking at me in worry. I sighed.“It went well, but I don’t know why he has gone quiet,” I said, looking at her.“What happened?” Alpha asked.“Well, he used their rules against them. Since the elders claimed I was Adrain’s mate, he wanted to challenge Adrain for his position and mate. Adrain refused and gave up all claims of having me,” I said. They smiled with a proud look on their faces.“I know my son was smart; how did he pull that off?” Alpha asked.“I saw him studying a book; he read their rules word for word and found a loophole,” I said. They nod their heads.“D

Valeria POVIt’s been a long time since the entire ordeal. Things have remained ever-peaceful since then, and we’ve all been living peacefully. Adrian, my parents, the pillars—I have no single idea what they are up to. My life has been a circle: training with the warriors and new recruits, spending time with my mate, and now my family. After that day, the pillars didn’t try to contact us; they stayed out of our business, as did Adrain. I got calls from my parents and Ruby, telling me to come back home. They said a lot of mean things, said I was ungrateful, and betrayed them after all they did for me, but I paid no mind to them. Damien told me after some time that Adrain banished Ruby and my parents from the pack; he was no longer funding my parents’ pack or remain in any contact with them. He only kept his son. Now my parents are suffering, the pack is dying, and they are barely surviving.Damien said other packs are now preying on them for my father’s land but, he has been fighting

Valeria POVAlpha and Luna walked in carrying a few bags, and I collected them from Luna, dropping them beside the couch as she took her seat, breathing out.“Why are there bandages everywhere?” I asked, looking at the stitches in her face and hand; they were all covered in bandages.“They attacked me with wolfbane,” she said. They really planned it through.“Wow, at least we now know it was done by the pillars, or Adrain. Not everyone has access to that,” I said. She nods her head.“But they were not wolves, though,” she said. I sat down, looking at Damien as he walked in, seated beside his mom. I could see the worry on his face. I can’t imagine losing someone he loves. He is still not healed from his sister's death; he has just learnt to live with it. His mom dying would be a colossal blow. And we all know that if Luna dies, Alpha is typically dead.“What were they?” I asked.“Humans, but they are skilled. It’s like they are taking steroids,” she said. What is a steroid?“If they we

Adrian POV “We have talked to them; they are willing to lend us their weapons,” Collin said. I looked at him in anger. “Lend?” I asked. “Yes, their loyalty lies with Damien. I talked to another man, and he said he can only lend us; he is not doing it out of order,” he replied, and I slammed my hand on my table harshly. Why does everything revolve around him? Even humans are not willing to sell us their weapons because of that bastard. “We need more than that, Collin. What are two cannons and a few guns going to do? Can’t we bribe them all?” I asked, desperate. “We already spent a lot trying to bribe the men to give us wolfbane; they don’t give it out unless you have a reason. Damien has them too, and the pillars are banned from buying the wolfbane, and we also spent a lot on the alphas that gave us their warriors,” he said. I sighed, running my hand through my hair. “Leave,” I snapped, and he bowed his head, leaving. I don’t care who supports me and who doesn’t. I will see to it

Adrian POVI sat down on my horse as we marched down to Damien’s pack. After a lot of careful planning and strategising, we are finally raging his pack. You might be wondering how we are at war with them after a lot of people refused to help us. Well, we got another dealer to supply us with weapons; although they are not as strong as the other dealer, we can totally manage it.“We are 5 minutes away from the pack; they would have noticed our arrival,” Collin said, standing in front of me. I nod my head.“You know what to do,” I said, looking into the woods. He nods his head, walking away. I know a lot of them are nervous, but they don’t need to. We have come here with force, and we won’t go back until we’ve achieved what we came here for.“Let’s move,” Collin said, coming back. I smiled, and we all raced to the white wolf pack. My warriors are running in front of me and at the back of me. Of course, I am only going to instruct and watch from the sidelines; my wolf might be a bit too w

Adrian POVThe ride back home was a really shameful one. The stares I was getting were terrible; I could feel the disappointment in the air; even Collin looked away from me. But I held it in, a blank look on my face as we went back to the pack. Not like I would ever admit to whatever went wrong; I am still their alpha, and not all wars are meant to be won. After a long ride, we got to the pack, and some pack members were out, all smiles, but once they saw the pain and anger on everyone’s faces, their face was pulled up in a frown.I know they all demanded an explanation of what was happening; this was not how they expected us to come back, especially since we were all so confident. And we didn’t even spend an hour in Damien’s territory; they beat us, and now I am at a loss.“Alpha Adrain,” a warrior said, coming to me. I turned to him.“Yes?” I asked.“Out of the one hundred men our alpha lent you, twenty of them are dead. The rest of us would be taking our leave now; we need medical

Valeria POVI got to the borders, and I saw how our warriors were trying to keep Adrain’s men from going deep into the borders, but they were losing. Obviously, a lot of them have entered the borders and have killed my warriors. I saw Carlos and Richard fighting them off. I growled loudly, forcing all the wolves nearby to bend to my command. They all looked at me, bowing their heads slightly.“Everyone, retreat and get into your armour,” I mind link, and they all looked at me, confused.“I got this under control; I would hold them down. That is an order,” I mind link, and they all run off immediately. Dante ran to Carlos, and they both shifted.“We would hold them down together,” Dante said. I nod my head, running to Adrain’s men, who were still standing, looking at me in shock. I passed by a blur, killing them off at once. The remaining ones ran outside once they understood what was happening. I saw Damien from my peripheral view, with wolves running behind him. After killing off all

Valeria POV“Get your sisters here,” I heard Damien say as Darcy and I set the table. The house is very noisy, the kids crying here and there. It’s absolute chaos. “Food is ready!” I yelled, and in a minute, they all rushed down to the long rectangular table. I chuckled as they all jumped over each other, trying to get a seat.“Careful,” Darcy said, and I smiled, serving the plates. Well, 5 years have gone by. The werewolf world has been peaceful; no more pillars that control the rules; their palace has been broken into pieces. Everyone has been living in perfect harmony, and I am certain a lot of people have forgotten what happened during the war. Everyone has long since moved on and has recovered from the war, which I was happy about. It took a lot of effort to fix all the damages, but today, the werewolf world is now very peaceful, all living in harmony, and I couldn’t be happier. After the war, it took time for Damien and me to get back as we were; we were still very frightened b

Third Person POV The fight continued, and they were both physically tired, but no one was backing down. “I should have killed you when I had the chance!” Selene growled, swinging her swords at Valeria, but Valeria blocked it weakly. They are both weak. “But you didn’t because you were a fool,” she said, laughing weakly, and Selene tried to stay on her feet. She was exhausted; she could no longer feel her arms, and Valeria felt the same way. Dmitri shook his head at them, but suddenly, he looked up, and he smiled. “They are here,” he said, and Damien was confused. “Who is?” he asked. He walked to them, and Damien followed suit. Valeria turned to them, and her eyes widened in shock, looking at Damien. “I told you to keep him away,” she growled, and Selene looked at Damien, and a smirk rose on her face. Using her last strength, she ran to Damien, and Valeria’s eyes widened. “No!” she screamed in horror, and Damien closed his eyes, expecting the pain. But it never came; he opened h

Third Person POVDamien and Valeria got outside, and it was a mess. Bodies everywhere, injured warriors. But Dmitri stopped the bloodbath by raising Titus’s head to the air; the pillars had been defeated; time to stop fighting.“The war is finally over; now we await the moon goddess,” Dmitri said, dropping Titus’ head carelessly. The air became colder, and the sky grumbled. Valeria held Damien’s hand tightly; she wasn’t letting go. Everyone had their heart in their hands; they were all nervous about what was about to happen, but Valeria remained strong.“She is here,” Dmitri said, and truly she was here. She slowly appeared, dressed in a white gown. She looked pure, looking like she would never cause anyone any harm, but Valeria knew it was the opposite. Selene’s heart is dark, she derived joy from harming her wolves. She is the cause of everything, the one who is to be blamed for everything, and she doesn’t deserve to be the moon goddess. Selene’s eyes match with Valeria’s, and her e

  • In The Hands Of My Alpha   Chapter 87 (Making No Sacrifice)

Valeria POVMy horse gallops down the woods, my army behind me all crying out tears of war. Today is finally the day we get rid of the pillars, just a week after we killed Lux. Am I excited about this war? No, but do I want them all dead? Yes. I have been anticipating this for a week. I know the aftermath is going to be terrible, and I am prepared for everything. I just want the Pillars dead and the werewolf world to be taken back to normal.“Alpha Damien is way ahead,” Collin said, and I nodded my head. I pushed my horse to ride faster; we are supposed to move first according to our plan, but I guess they went before us. We got to the palace where they have been hiding all this while, and it’s already a bloody battleground. Titus definitely came prepared, but there is no way he is overpowering three different armies. Mine, Damien’s, and Dmitri’s. He is outnumbered.“Remember all we have trained for and make me proud.” I mind-linked, and they all roared. I left them, leaving Collins t

Valeria POVSo many grunting, groaning, swords clashing later, Lux was still standing on her feet. Blood all over her body. She stood away from us, her sword out as she tried to catch her breath. I wasn’t even tired; I must say she put up a good fight. She definitely lasted longer than I would have imagined; it was nice to see her still fit after so many years. But she knows this is a fight she won’t win.“Give it up, Lux,” I said, looking at her. She chuckled dryly.“Nice to see I haven’t lost my touch. I had some hits,” she said, looking at all of us. She is right; her sword cut into my arm, and that is all. Everyone has injuries too, but just in a few places. But for her, it’s all over her body. She almost got beheaded by Dmitri; she moved out in a millisecond. “You are already dead,” I said. She smirked.“Not if I have something to say about it,” she said, running to me with speed, aiming for my neck. I could tell she put all her remaining energy into that run; she already knew s

Valeria POVI walked inside the pack house, heading to the conference room and before I got there, I could hear them discussing. I entered the conference room, and it was a full house. I have never seen so many Lycans together before.“Just the wolf we were waiting for,” Dmitri said as I walked in. He looked the same as he was, not much different. “Sorry I kept you all waiting,” I said, smiling at Damien.“She apologies,” Dmitri said, with heavy sarcasm. I turned to him.“How are you doing, Dmitri?” I asked. He smiled.“I am the same as ever. I can’t say about you though,” he said. I gave him a long look, breathing out. I really don’t have strength for his energy.“Did you tell him everything?” I asked Damien. He nods his head.“Yes,” he replied. I turned to all the men.“So, I’m guessing you all understand,” I said. “Yes, we do. But I hope you know killing Lux is going to affect the moon goddess,” he said. I nod my head.“She deserves it; I blame her for everything that’s happening

Valeria POVI got back to the pack, and I headed to the dungeon.“How is he doing?” I asked Collin.“He has gone crazy; he keeps growling and scratching his neck. I tried to stop him, but he is strong and needs more than one wolf to tame him,” he said. And before I got to Adrain, I could hear his loud growling.“Are you with his phone?” I asked.“Yes, it’s with me,” he replied, and I nodded my head. We got to the dungeon, and of course, only he was here. He was rolling on the floor, growling at everyone and everything.“Open the gate,” I said. Collin looked at me wearily, but opened it, anyway. I entered the cell, and he was still rolling on the floor, trying to get rid of his mark.“Adrain,” I called, and immediately he tensed up. His muscles moved, and slowly, he turned around. At first, he looked like a crazy animal, with no ounce of humanity behind those eyes, but when his eyes fixed on me, he became normal. He fell to the floor, crying out.“What have you done?” he cried out. I r

When I got to the pack, I saw the guards and Dante looking at me from the walls, and they were shocked. I can’t mind link them as I am no longer in this pack. I moved back, then I ran with all speed, growling as I tried to jump off the high wall. The warriors all yelled, causing a commotion as I jumped over the wall, landing on my paws.“Valeria? What’s going on?” Dante asked, running to me. I howled, ignoring him and running to the pack. Dante shifted, running after me. I know he was trying to catch up, but I was in momma bear mode. It was late at night, and I was worried about my son. Who did Titus send to take him? How are they even going to take him in this pack filled with security? Dante growled behind me, and I hoped he was talking to Damien. I continued running, ignoring people’s yells of surprise as I passed them. After a few minutes, I was

I’m sorry you had to see that Daus, no child deserves that, but your momma is evil. She definitely didn’t think of my son and what he would go through if I was dead because no way would I live with that bastard mark on my neck.“Daus,” I called. “Mommy, I want my mommy,” he cried out loudly. I sat on his bed, carrying him on my lap and petting his back softly.“I’m sorry,” I said, not sorry for what happened to Ruby. I am just sorry he has to see that and live without a mom and possibly a dad.“Mommy,” he cried. I pulled back, and I sighed.“Sleep,” I commanded. He blinked his eyes repeatedly, looking all drowsy. And slowly, he fell into my arms, passed out. I sighed, patting his back softly.“I
