It’s almost 9am and I’m the only one remaining at the office. I’m trying to complete the analysis trend report before leaving. The deadline is tomorrow as well and I think I might have to stay here all night to finish it.

Marienne has already left with Adrian, and Rhys had texted me a few hours ago he would be canceling plans tonight. For some reason, one part of me thinks it because of his fiancée, Nichole Barnes.

Nichole has been on my mind all day and I can’t help but wonder why Rhys would choose me over such an elegant woman. Not that he “chose” me in a “forever-is-the-deal” context but you get what I mean.

Then the other part of me thinks he’ll soon realize what a gift Nichole is and start preferring to have sex with her instead of me. We can’t be so sure they aren’t already doing it. But then again, our agreement doesn’t imply we cannot have sex with other people.
