Chapter 22

I groaned and tried to move my body. I feel light-headed and exhausted and my eyelids feel so heavy. Everything around me was strangely quiet and all I could hear was the continuous electronic beep.

I tried to move even though I feel weak like a block of cement was on top of me. I fluttered my eyes open and was blinded by the shining light making me blink multiple times to let my eyes adjust.

Everything I saw was white. White walls, white sheets and I'm even wearing white.

Am I dead? Is this heaven?

I sat up in daze and realized that I'm actually in a hospital when I noticed a lot of things attached to my body.

It turns out that the beeping sound that I was hearing was coming from the heart rate monitor beside me. I initially thought it was just me.
