“Dad….dad…” Sophia called with rage as she barged into her father’s office. Mr. Noah Jenkins who had been really busy checking out some files and also viewing the live concert while he work furrowed his brows at his daughter’s manner less entry.

“Sophia…what’s all this..have you lost your manners, why will you barge in that way, knowing that I will be busy” He reprimanded

“F**k the manners, I ain’t got time for your scolding dad…I need answers” She snorted. Noah bent his head in shame. She didn’t even consider the fact that he has a visitor sitting in front of him who watches the little father and daughter drama. She should have at least asked him to excuse her and have a talk privately, but he knows Sophia, she will be bent on getting what she wants.

“What is it this time?” he asked

“Why were there changes in the judges? I thought we all agree that the company board will have to judge this contest, why did you decide to change everything. And the most annoying part is that, you didn’t tell me about it” She yelled, boiling with fury

“Is there anything wrong in changing the judges, I mean…it’s not a bad thing to invite other well known artist to be the judges.”

“There are many wrongs dad…this is bullshit. They judge this contest wrongly and gave the crown to someone who doesn’t deserve it” She snapped

“Like seriously, Sophia….wait a sec, what are you insinuating”

“What I’m trying to say is that Ariel doesn’t deserve that crown, it belongs to me”

“It has been yours for the past two years now, damn why can’t you just let someone else lead for once? I know that you are competent enough and your leading skills are superb, but sweetheart, you also need to take a break.

This is a game; you can’t expect to win always and mind you, the judges didn’t carry out a foul play. I watched the whole thing that happened and trust me Ariel did better. I can’t support you always just because you are my daughter, please try to grow up, there are other contest coming up, you might get to win it again and retake your post.”

“Damn you dad…I ain’t gonna take that, it’s either the crown is given back to me, or Ariel pays the price.” She spurted and left the office in full rage.

“Sophia…..” He called but she was already out of the office. He sighs rubbing his temple as he placed his forehead on his palms.

“Noah, are you ok….” His personal investigator, who had been sitting quietly, watching the whole drama, later spoke up after a brief silence

“Erm…yes…I am..erm…I’m sorry for the tantrum my daughter threw just now, please don’t be annoyed” He pleaded. The man only chuckled

“She reminds me of Roxanne, ouch…sorry for mentioning her name..it’s just..”

“It’s ok…i just pray she doesn’t end up like her mother. I have tried my best to caution her as a father, but she is just too rude. I don’t know why Roxanne’s blood is much on her than mine” Noah complains. The man shrug

“Erm…about why I called you here, erm…here is the picture of the girl. She is the one that won the crown contest. Her name is Ariel, I want you to make a background check on her…please..I need it urgently” He stated. The man stared at the picture and nodded

“She is from Africa, Briland City to be precise”

“Trust me to do my job well Noah….I will get back to you then”

“Thanks Henry…”

“You are welcome” Henry stated as he made his way out of the office

One Week After

“Phew..it’s so good to be back in school…huhnn…” Ariel smiled out as she walks to hug Mia who was just getting down from her car. Ariel decided to drive herself to school today, well, she is already good in driving and mind you she is no more staying with Aiden.

 She doesn’t want anything that will make her be in the news as at now. The people out there are really curious on knowing about her personal life, who her parents are and so on; especially if she is in a relationship or not.

She had tried her best in giving them a desirable answer, but living with Aiden will only make them curious as at why she decides to stay with him when she clearly has her own house. She hates having paparazzi everywhere she goes, so staying away from the Movie star will only bury whatsoever wrong notice they will wanna bring up on news. She had explained it to Aiden, and he seem cool to him. She will finally be free from Josephine’s tantrum.

“Hey Queen….look at you…awwnn” Mia called out as she embraced Ariel. They were engrossed in their catching up that they forgot about their current surrounding. The students were already coming close to them after sighting them and they are bent on getting their signatures.

“Damn…I didn’t come with any of my guard” Mia chuckled as Ariel’s guards who were assigned to her by the company, pave way for them to pass in the midst of the students. Just as they were about taking a step forward, they heard the crowd screaming their lungs out as they diverted their attention to where they are facing

“Damn, I thinks the idols are here….Wow..Aiden is back” Mia stated as Ariel turned her head swiftly to have a look. She saw Aiden and Axel getting down from a car, as they walk down their direction, with the aid of their guards, because the student will clearly jump on them if they ain’t careful.

Ariel didn’t notice that she had been smiling sheepishly until he got closer to her pulling her into a tight hug. She hugged him back, as the students scream, taking pictures of them. She caught the sight of Mia hugging Axel as he pats her back

“You didn’t tell me you will be coming back..I mean..damn you” Ariel snapped playfully while he chuckled

“I wanted it to be a surprise” he winked while she blushed.

“Hey big man” Mia stated from behind as Aiden turned to give her a hug

“Hi Mia…you are looking damn hot…mehn” He complimented while Ariel frown.

“You didn’t say that to me…yunno” She feign jealousy

“Ouch….i’m so sorry pumpkin..you are more than gorgeous, I won’t have believe that you are the one standing here, if I haven’t known you better.” He stated as they all laughed.

“Wow…they look cute together…”

“Ariel is looking hot”

“I love Mia’s dress, she killed it”

“Axel my darling…kisses to you…”

“It’s fun to have you back Aiden……”

The students were just yelling out different kind of comments as they made their way to their lecture rooms.

“By the way, where is Jack?” Aiden asked Mia

“Oh….he has a shoot this morning…he will be here soon”

“Seriously, exams is starting in few minute time, does he wanna have a carryover” Ariel asked. Mia laughed

“Not at all, he isn’t a music student like us; so our timetables are different. He will be having his paper in the afternoon” She replied.

“Damn, I can’t wait for this exam to be over” Aiden stated

“Why…” Ariel asked

“Because I got lots of surprises for you” he winked at her, as her cheek heated up in a blush. Her gaze met with that of Axel, he gave her an expressionless look and looked away after their eyes had locked briefly. She let out a soft sigh before stepping into the set aside class for young celebrities. They are no longer in the random class since they are now celebrities. Else, the student will make their life a living hell.

Sophia’s POV

“How is it going” I spoke into the phone

“We are gonna get it down ma’am, all we need is time and a perfect opportunity. The girl is always heavily guarded and we can’t overpower those guards. We will only be able to capture her when she is alone or on a lonely road where the securities ain’t much”

“I don’t wanna hear stories frank, I want it done with immediate effect. That lady has gotten on my nerves so much that I have to give her back in a thousand folds. Just make sure that you don’t hurt her, I will like to see her before her death” I ordered

“No problem ma’am, we will do our job”

“And do it with no trace, remember who I am, if you try selling me out, then consider your family gone. Trust me, I don’t make empty threat” I threatened

“We will do as you say ma’am, my boys are good in carrying out jobs without traces. Just put your hope in us, we will get it done”

“Good, I will be expecting your report” I smirk and ended the call

You will surely pay for all you have done to me Ariel, you think you are smart, but I will tell you that I am smarter.  You will pay with your life.

Axel’s POV

“When are you gonna be back” I asked Theo, as I watch him pick up few things from his drawer. He is going back to Greece today, and his flight is already set

“After my exams, we will be done in two weeks” Theo replied

“Hmm…I was thinking you wanna continue your music career over there, why are you bent on coming back?” I asked. He arched his brow and looked at me

“You know why I’m coming back…”

“No I don’t”

“Wait a sec…do you really want me to stay over there?”

“No…that’s not the case here. I’m just kind of confused; you left five years ago, now you are back, I’m damn happy. But you said something about continuing your career over there, but you are changing it now because of what I don’t know. Is it about Brittany” I asked.

 He didn’t say a word for few seconds before turning his gaze to me

“Yes…” he breathed out

“It’s been five years Theo; it’s almost six years though…”

“But I’m not gonna give up on her, I love Brittany so much, and I still see her in my dreams. She is still alive Axel, and it hurts a lot that despite the fact that we have searched for her, we still haven’t gotten the clue of where she is.

It’s just like she vanished into the air or something. But I believe she is still out there, somewhere. I will be back to continue my search for her. I can continue my career anywhere; it’s not compulsorily Greece.” He stated. I nodded

“It’s ok..I understand your plight and I long to see her again, it’s so painful losing someone like her. Are you set?”

“Yes…I just picked few things…will you see me off to the airport..I’m going in the company’s jet, Mr. Jenkins order”

“Oh…that’s nice of him..yea sure…let’s go” I stated as we left his lounge. I wish Brittany is found soon, I really want Theo to be happy. He hasn’t had a love life right from when we were little, all because he was waiting for her. I wish his heart’s desire is fulfilled, same as mine.

I saw Theo off to the airport and we had our last embrace before he boarded the plane. I waited a while for it to take off before deciding to leave. I sighted Sophia having a brief quarrel with Michael just some meters away and she ended up slapping him. She look enrage and it made me wonder why she was that way.

Is she going back to the way she was before or was she actually pretending to be changed the other time, or was it actually because of me, as Theo had said? I shrug it off and continue walking towards my car, when I heard my name. It was Michael.

On a normal day, I will just ignore him, but with the way he was waking hurriedly towards me, I think he has something important to say. We ain’t friends, or let’s say we are enemies, but I’m just trying to be a good guy here. He walked up to me with a smirk on his face, and I suddenly started regretting why I had stopped. Michael is such an idiot, he always doesn’t have something reasonable to say.

“Hey…” he muttered

“What do you have to say, just say it and let me leave” I replied coldly. He laughed

“If I were you, I will be glad to hear what I have to tell you now..but it seems like you are not interested. I will just keep the truth to myself” he shrugs

“What truth do you have to tell me huhn…the f**king truth that you made your way with my girlfriend” I yelled in anger

“Your Ex, point of correction. And whereas do I look like I’m the only one that got into her ass, damn no. Flora is a b!tch and you know that…”

“The next time you call her that…I will make sure I cut your tongue off”

“You can’t do that, because you both are no more together. She is now with Karl if you don’t know. And whereas, you ain’t that a good guy, do you think I don’t know that you are crushing on your brother’s girl” He spats as I frown

“What do you mean?”

“You know what I mean Axel, come on stop feigning ignorance. I do see the way you stare at her; it’s so obvious bro. I have been watching you for quite a while now. Well, I believe you worth her though more than that brother of yours” He stated the last part with grimace

“You are spitting rubbish boy…just get on with what you have to say”

“Well, that’s what I have to say, Aiden doesn’t deserve Ariel one bit, trust me. You won’t wanna know the truth….suit yourself bro.. You will find out the truth soon” he stated and left before I could say a word. What does he mean by Aiden doesn’t deserve Ariel. I mean, he has it in mind to ask her out soon. And that’s if he hasn’t done that already; what is Michael getting at with all this rubbish he just spitted out.

Hmm, listening to Michael is a waste of time, like I said earlier, he ain’t worth listening to. All he says are not reasonable, and he speaks in puzzle. I will just have to shrug off his useless words against my brother. F**k you Michael.
