Chapter Sixteen

Samantha rushed out of Jake's flat, her head full of wrath and resolve. As she went down the street, she repeated the encounter in her mind, each word he spoke stinging harder than the previous. The shame, rage, and betrayal all combined to ignite a fierce determination inside her. She was not going to allow Jake, Emily, or anyone else to ruin her life. She would take over and make them all pay.
