For The Signal

"And you're sure that you're okay?" Lance asked again and I groaned lowly.

"I promise you that I'm fine, don't worry," I reassured but it didn't change his mind.

"If you need anything, just tell me over the link Hayley," he finalised, getting up to pick his shirt.

I watched him drag it down his body and I wished for a moment he kept the shirt away.

"Where are you going?" I asked slowly.

"Well, we can't just attack an enemy's kingdom without preparation and planning," he replied before heading out through the door.

The nightmare I had hit me immediately when he departed and goosebumps grew on my skin. Even when everyone told me it was not my fault, I couldn't help but feel guilty. I was a healer, yet I could not protect them.

Then something hit me, not physically but mentally. It definitely shouldn't have been an accident that I had such a dream. It could not be a coincidence that the dream was that vivid. Unless...
