What are you doing?

"Oh my gosh, you scared me. I thought you were still asleep. Why are you here now?" Gwen asked, looking at the handsome man standing next to her.

"Did you think I’d sleep forever?" Dominic replied curtly. "I just have jetlag."

"So, what did you mean by what you said earlier? I can't go back to the office anymore?"

"After considering it multiple times, I think it's better if you don't go to the office anymore. Stay home and be a housewife," Dominic suggested.

Gwen walked towards her husband, saying, "Isn't there any other job? I'm not a mother yet, and I'd get bored," she rejected outright.

"Then work from home. Keep working as usual. Help handle office tasks from home," Dominic explained. Gwen seemed to ponder her husband's words. "What do you think?"

"Alright, I'll try working from home," Gwen agreed to her husband's offer.

"You can use my office later," Dominic added. After saying that, he went to the bathroom to freshen up while his wife returned to enjoying the sunset view, capturing more photos as mementos.

Time passed, and it was now eight in the evening. Both were starting to feel restless. Dominic suggested they go out for dinner, but Gwen was reluctant to leave the room. Eventually, Dominic relented and called the staff to order dinner for them. Gwen had no idea what Dominic had ordered but trusted that he would choose something delicious.

After waiting for 30 minutes, their food arrived. The couple enjoyed their dinner in their room, agreeing that the food was delicious, and Gwen even wanted to have the same meal for breakfast the next day.

Satisfied with their dinner and feeling full, they decided to spend their first night just in the room. "Do you want to sleep on the sofa or the bed?" Dominic asked.

"On the bed. Don't tell me you also want to sleep here."

"I think we can share the bed," Dominic replied. But Gwen refused, not wanting to share the bed with her husband.

"What's the big deal? Why can't I sleep in the bed? Besides, the sofa is small and uncomfortable."

After a heated debate, they reached a compromise: Dominic could sleep in the bed, but he had to stay on his side.

"Fine, no problem. I promise I won’t touch you."

Gwen didn't respond, turning her back to face the wall instead. Dominic also turned away, preferring to look at his phone rather than his wife's back. It took them a while to convince themselves that nothing would happen tonight, especially for Gwen, who only closed her eyes after making sure Dominic was asleep.

Morning came, signaling a new day. The beautiful woman woke up to the sound of a spoon clinking against a cup. She slowly opened her eyes and saw Dominic drinking coffee with some snacks in front of him.

"Where did you get breakfast?"

"It's a service from the hotel. We get breakfast," Dominic replied, enjoying a sandwich. "Get up and eat before I finish everything."

Gwen got up and walked to the table, sipping the coffee provided by the hotel and grabbing some fruit that Dominic hadn’t touched. She quickly finished a bowl of fruit salad and moved on to the next plate. Seeing some chocolate cakes, she took one of her favorites.

"Are you that hungry?" Dominic teased, seeing his wife eating heartily.

"I haven't had this cake in a long time," Gwen replied casually, enjoying every bite until nothing was left. She glanced at Dominic's plate of sandwiches. Sensing her look, Dominic handed it to her.

While Gwen enjoyed her breakfast, Dominic got up and headed to the bathroom. As usual, he showered before nine in the morning. Unlike Gwen, who preferred soaking in the tub, Dominic liked the shower's spray.

"You’re done quickly," Gwen remarked as her husband emerged from the bathroom. She was surprised to see his athletic body behind his beautiful face and long hair.

"Do you want to watch me change or go to the bathroom?"

"You're such a bother," Gwen grumbled, getting up from her seat, leaving her snacks, and heading to the bathroom to freshen up. Again, she chose to soak in the aromatic therapy tub, trying to relax before facing Dominic for the rest of the day.

After 30 minutes, she finally came out, looking fresh in new clothes. Suddenly, Dominic spoke up, "I thought you fell asleep in there."

"Women need time to beautify themselves," Gwen replied, continuing to the nightstand. Her slender hand pulled out a hairdryer to dry her long hair.

Dominic watched her from a distance, reminiscing about his ex-girlfriend. They used to do such things together, moments full of joy and affection. But now, those were just memories.

"Why are you staring at me like that?" Gwen asked, catching her husband’s gaze. "Do you want your hair dried too?"

"No."

"Then stop staring at me like that. Move away from the chair," Gwen ordered.

"No, this is my work chair, and I'm comfortable here," Dominic refused. He could have moved but wanted to keep watching his wife.

"Then close your eyes," Gwen commanded again. "You might end up liking me."

Dominic got up quickly and walked toward his wife. Gwen panicked, thinking he might do something to her. She kept warning Dominic to stay away.

"Don’t come any closer. Don’t try anything funny!" she warned, but Dominic didn't stop. As they got closer, Dominic walked expressionlessly, making Gwen even more scared. "Stop, I’ve already showered."

"So what if you’ve showered? You can shower again," Dominic replied, taking the hairdryer from her hand and leading her to their bed.

"What are you doing?" Gwen asked as she fell onto the king-size bed. Dominic kept staring at her, leaning forward slowly. Gwen’s eyes widened, and she crossed her arms in front of her chest. "You promised not to touch me."

"When did I promise that?" Dominic's voice softened.

"Hey, what do you mean by that?"

Dominic furrowed his brows, continuing to tease his innocent wife. Gwen kept moving away, creating distance between them.
