"What does that man want?" asked Caraline, "Diego hasn't contacted me since a few days ago."

"Mr. Diego left after I told him that you were fine," Helen said.

Caraline let out a long breath. "Well, you can go back to the office, Helen. Let me take care of Diego."

Helen bowed briefly even though Caraline still had her back to her. The woman hurried out. While on the veranda of the house, she accidentally saw Deric at the edge of the lake. The man seemed to be contacting someone. It seemed strange to her, but she didn't have time to ask, especially since she had warned herself to forget about the man.

Caraline enjoyed her breakfast and lunch in silence. After finishing her meal, she went back to her room to clean up, change her clothes, and then called Diego on the balcony.

"I heard you came to visit my office," Caraline said as soon as the call connected.

"Gosh, this is progress." Diego laughed softly. "Please give me a moment, sir."
