Chapter 4

He chuckled and placed his hand on my shoulder, letting it slide down my back. The warmth of his palms sent an electric sensation up and down my spine. What the hell is this?

"You can call me Dad or Henry. It depends on what makes you com—"

The doorbell's sound stopped Henry from speaking. We exchanged confused looks as it continued to ring.

"Who's that? It's already eleven in the evening." He glanced at his wristwatch and gazed back at me. "Are you expecting someone?"

I shook my head, wiping my hands with the cloth hanging on the fridge. "No."

"Okay, I'll get the door."

As he turned his back and walked out of the kitchen, his toned figure had me frozen for a couple of seconds. I suddenly realized that I hadn't even blinked when he vanished. But hell, my mind continued to wonder about the thing beneath the undergarment.

"Oh, Henry. I missed you!"
