Either that or we would go through a portal.

Well, there is a portal. But the problem is the location of how to get there.

Serena and the rest of the Nymphs finally stopped walking in front of an old rickety bridge. “Friends!” Serena turned back with a wide grin. “We are here!”

“That’s a bridge.” I pointed out nervously as I tried to look through the heavy fog to see through the other side. Unfortunately, I couldn’t.

I hear birds chirping outside as rays of the sun seeped through my window. I yawned and got out of my bed. Custard and Viex were still sleeping on my pillow and were covering their ears. I smiled and covered them with my blanket. The birds still continued to chirp as I headed for my balcony. I opened my balcony door and welcomed the cold breeze of the morning air. I took in a deep breath and exhaled as I lean onto the railing.Still, the birds continued to chirp. I smiled and blinked slowly as if I was in a trance. The bright and cheery songs of the birds were forcing a song out of me. And that’s what I did. I started singing. “Do Re Me Fa SO….FUCKING SHUT UP YOU DAMN BIRDS! TWEET TWEET MY ASS! GO TAKE YOUR STUPID TWEET TWEET ELSEWHERE!” I screamed bloody murder as I took

“Rose, come on. Do you or do you not want to go to his coronation?” Nate asked me while I was squatting on the ground and pouting. I was back in my track uniform while having my morning run with the Vampire prince.“I want to.” I grumbled.“See? Now, less sulking and more running. Come on. I’ll run with you.” Nate offered me his hands and I lazily took it. I let out a dying groan as I got up to my feet. “Don’t give me that attitude. Remember the condition that the queen gave you so that she would allow you to attend?”I rolled my eyes. I do remember. “I have to at least convince her that I am capable of protecting myself.”“And what else?”

“Sir Terrence, I am sorry. I was reckless.” I said as I followed closely behind him while walking through the hallway of the castle. I dusted my arms and shirt already, but there were still remnants of when I literally mopped the ground.“Rose, wipe your face.” Nate chided me. He took a damp cloth from the following maid and started whipping at the dirt on my face gently.“No, princess. I was at fault here so you do not have to apologize.” Terrence says.“Great.” I moved my face slightly to the side so that I could see Terrence amidst Nate wiping at my face. “Can I have the weapon back?” I pleaded as we continued to follow him. I even plastered on my most convincing look.Terrence immediately stopp

The day, training began and I was dead nervous. Emphasis on the dead part. I mean, who wouldn’t be nervous? I just thought about it and I suddenly feel tired so I didn’t do it.” I looked at Nate and smiled proudly.“I agree. I mean, Sir Terrence isn’t here yet so

It hurts when I move my arm. It hurts even more as I opened them up and the tailors were taking my measurements. My aunt, the queen was finally convinced by my progress in training that she immediately had me fitted for a new dress.“Please. Don’t make the dress heavy and puffy.” I told the tailors.“As you wish, Princess.” The head designer, Gary nodded.“We’re done.” One of his assistants said and they helped me put on my shirt. My sore muscles screamed in pain with every movement that I have to gasp in relief when it was over.“Thanks, everyone.” I told them as I headed for the door. “Custard, Viex, let’s go.” I called as I opened the door for them. Immediately, they ran for th

It has been a week now and we have been constantly practicing with both my magic and physical training. Terrence is an excellent teacher, obviously. And I could see a lot of improvements from all of us.The princes mostly since I still find the time to sleep somewhere when Terrence isn’t looking.Ace is surprisingly a good teacher in magic as well. He would occasionally threaten me whenever I make a mistake, but he doesn’t really follow it through.“One more lap, Viex.” I commanded as I tried to maintain the flow of magic onto Viex while practicing my whip. It’s very hard to multi-task especially when I just got distracted by a pretty butterfly.“FOCUS!” Ace snapped beside me that I immediately looked to

Sophie gave me a look as she nodded. “Congratulations, Queen Rosalie. You are - ” She was cut off when Custard lets out a yelp. ‘Master master! He is mine. If it weren’t for you then I would have become his queen!”“Nate and I are not in that kind of relationship!” I told her. “And he doesn’t belong to anyone!”But as hard as I tried to convince her, it seemed like Camille couldn’t hear any of it as she just screa

Everyone was quiet as we all let the information sink in. When I thought about it, it all made sense now. Luke was the one that we were looking for. The only thing is, he is not exactly a traitor, just controlled by something that he cannot fight.“Hang on, who attacked Luke in the greenhouse?” I asked. “I mean, the place was basically a mess.”“He did that to himself,” Stella says. “As soon as he realized that Ferius was looking and hearing events of what was happening, he put himself to sleep to purposely stop Ferius from knowing of our plans. Custard and I managed to handle a few of them with our backs facing Viex to protect him. ‘Princess, behind you!’ Viex yelled as a warning. When I looked back, I saw a leopard pouncing at me. Custard blocked its path but the leopard didn’t fully reach us when a hood figured appeared, landed on the leopard’s back in midair, and plunge his blade to its neck. As they both landed on the ground, Ace took his hood and pulled me until I w

I woke up early the next day as we all started to prepare ourselves. But I, on the other hand, woke up especially early because I wanted to make sure that everything was settled. Plus, I was getting nervous about all of this as well that I just can’t get a few more minutes of a shut-eye. I already have my shirt, chainmail, vest, trousers, and boots on. Now, I was contemplating wearing the gloves that Eltur and Darem gave me, but I decided against it as it would only hinder my grip on my whip. As I got out, I noticed that Nate was outside of his tent as well and just doing a few stretches. He must have heard me stepping out because he looked back with a tired and nervous smile on his face. “Hey. Good morning, Rose.” He greeted me. “Morning, Nate.” I greeted his back as I held the tent open for Custard and

You look so much more independent compared to the last time that we saw you. I just hope that you really are what you look like from the outside.”It was Custard who first reacted. He lets out a howl and ran behind me. ‘Master Ren!’I turned just in time to see Ren picking Custard up on the ground as Custard showered him with adoring kisses. The twins were humbly wearing plain shirts like what we usually wore in training. And judging by the looks on their faces, I can only guess that t
