Chapter 689 Strangely Heartwarming

Judy leaned on her cane for support as she walked into the lounge. When she saw Jean sitting on the chair with a desolate expression on her face, she reached out and took Jean's hand.

"It's okay, Jean. You still have us," she said softly.

Jean felt warmth fill her heart at Judy's words. She felt a lot more secure.

"Thank you, Grandma. I feel much better now," Jean said.

Smiling, Judy said gently, "Don't be sad. We're your real family."

Jean nodded earnestly.

At this moment, Coleen rushed in from the kitchen.

"I heard that Dorothy came by," she said, then looked over at Jean with concern.

Dorothy was Jean's mother, after all. As such, Coleen tried her best to be considerate of Jean's feelings. She didn't say anything too harsh about Dorothy.

Judy nodded and calmly replied, "She just left."

Frowning, Coleen looked at Jean with concern.

"Was Jean seen?" she asked in a hushed tone.

If the Michaelses had seen her, then Coleen figured that Jean would not be able to live in peace
