Just as everyone was stunned, 13 needles landed on John's hand in rapid succession, causing John, who had been on the verge of collapse, to calm down.

Matilda was the first to notice something, and she dashed toward the direction from which the needles were flying.

However, when she arrived, Marilyn had just turned around in the corridor, and they ran into each other.

"Ah, Matilda, where're you going?"

Matilda quickly asked, "Marilyn, did you see someone run past you just now?"

Marilyn was perplexed by the question. "Yes, a few nurses passed by just now. What's wrong?"
