Chapter 2

Yassi looks at the sky and saw the moon cover the sun. A solar eclipse? Did she come here because of the solar eclipse? Impossible! Many solar eclipses had passed but she didn't travel to somewhere else. That comic book really has the power of the devil. And because she wants to burn it that's why it brought her to this weird place. But where exactly I am? And how am I suppose to go back to the present?

"Look, Mother! The horse where Prince Reikel riding together with his troops is coming!"

"Prince Reikel is not only handsome but also a brave person. With his small troops, they defeated the barbarians who want to invade our country!"

Prince Reikel? The name that the mother and daughter were talking about seems familiar to her. Prince Reikel? The male protagonist of my sister's comic book? The prince who turns into a scary beast once he couldn't control his emotion when he's angry? Damn! Did I entered into...

Her eyes are wide open when a sudden realization comes to her mind. I am inside of a comic book. The comic book which I hated the most! Impossible!

"Lady Assi! Where are you?"

She heard a woman's voice searching for someone. If only she didn't know that she doesn't belong to this world she might think that the one she's looking for is her. Because Assi was her nickname to her friends in the real world.

As the troops of Prince Reikel get closer to where she standing, the people suddenly gather just to get a glimpse of the prince's looks. The place where she was standing alone earlier becomes crowded. The people start squeezing her. Someone steps on her feet. Someone pushes her away so they could get to a good place where they can be able to glance at the prince. Goodness! I can't believe that I experience this kind of thing now. Even in my worst dreams I never thought that I could enter into the world of comics. Or maybe I am just dreaming right now.

"Prince Reikel! We're glad that you came back with victory!" shouted the man while holding a small jar and lifted it in the air as if he is asking for a toss to the prince. She doesn't know what's inside the small jar. Is it water? Because when the man drinks it the colorless liquid spills from the jar.

She decides to turn her head to see the face of the man which her sister idolizing so much. But before she could turn her head, someone pushes her hard that she had thrown down in front of the road where many horses would pass in a minute.

She quickly gets up and turns her eyes at her front. Her eyes widened when she saw a horse approaching her. The horse was startled when it sees her. The people scream in shock but no one helps her. She can't move her legs as if it's stuck on the ground. All she can do is close her eyes and wait for the horse to stomps on her.

"Lady Assi!!"

She heard that woman's voice again who searching for the person's name that happens to be the same as her nickname. But who cares anyway. She's going to die now in the feet of a horse. Maybe this is a way for her to go back to the real world. She must die because she's not part of the characters in the comic book.

Yassi didn't feel the hard feet of a horse in her body but instead, she feels the strong arms wrap around her body. She opens her eyes to see the person who saves her from danger. And she loudly gasps when she saw the most handsome man that she had ever seen in her entire life. Although his face is serious and slightly frowning, he still very handsome in her eyes. He has a deep set of beautiful eyes with long eyelashes, a perfect nose that matches with red kissable lips. And his body and arms were strong that he could carry her using his one hand.

"Are you okay?" he asks her. She can sense a bit of worry in his voice.

Damn! Even his voice is very masculine. What a real man! Who is this man that saves me? Can I bring him back to the real world?

"Lady Assi! Finally, I found you! Are you okay?"

Her eyes suddenly turn to the woman that suddenly speaks with her. Isn't she the woman earlier that is searching for a lady that the same as my nickname? Could it be that I am the lady she's been looking for? What's happening here? How come that I am also a character in this story?

The man that saves her let go of her before he asks the woman beside her. "She's your lady?"

"Yes, Prince Reikel. And on behalf of my lady, I would like to say I'm sorry. She didn't mean to interrupt you from going home. It's just that she's not on her right mind. She became like this when his father didn't allow her to marry your brother, Prince Rakim," the woman explained.

Prince Reikel! So this guy that saves her is no other than Prince Reikel? The prince that her sister is dying for to meet in person? The handsome prince who turns into a scary beast when he couldn't control his anger? Is this some kind of a joke on her? Is it because she hated this person in the real world that's why destiny made a joke on her and let her enter into this world so she could meet the comic character that she hated the most?

"So, she's the daughter of the right prime minister and the lover of my older brother whom he should marry? But because her father didn't allow them to be together so she jumps off from a high tree and hoping to die?" the prince asked. But to her, it's not a question but more on confirmation.

"Yes, Prince Reikel. So, please forgive my lady," the woman who seems to be her maid beg the prince.

The Prince stares at Yassi's face for a minute with a very serious face before he speaks with her maid again.

"Take care of your lady. Don't let her walks around in this dangerous place alone or else I will not let you off," he said in a husky tone. And then he looks at Yassi for a second before he turns around and went back to ride his horse.

"Reikel!" She couldn't help herself but called his name. And when he turns around to look at her, she slightly smiles at him. "Thank you for saving my life."

Reikel didn't speak. He just nods at her and then continues to ride his horse until he and his troops already passed by her.

"Lady Assi, are you okay?" the maid asks her. She frantically searches her whole body to find if she was hurt somewhere.

"I'm okay. I'm not hurt," She said to her. "By the way, can I ask what is your name?"

" Flera. I am Flera, My Lady," she quickly answers with tears in her eyes.

"Why are you crying, Flera?" She curiously asks the maid when she saw her reaction. "Are you hurt somewhere?"

She shook her head. "No, My Lady. I'm just happy that you can speak to me again. And you seem like you already came back to your senses although you seem a little bit weird."

Of course. I am a little bit weird to you 'cause I'm not your lady. I do not belong in this world. I came from the real world. But I don't know how to go back yet. But I must go back to the real world no matter what it takes.

"Why? Did I not talk for a long time?"

Flera nods three times while wiping her tears." Yes, Lady Assi. You didn't speak for almost a month. You were very sad because your father didn't allow you to marry Prince Rakim."

What? Am I that pathetic in this world? She gently shook her head. Why does her character have to become so pathetic person in this world?

"Don't worry, Flera. From now on, I will become myself again and I will surely forget my feelings to Prince Rakim."

Flera looks at me with her eyes unwilling to believe what I said. If her character in this world was a woman who was madly in love with Prince Rakim, Flera will surely not believe easily what she said just now. But who cares, she's now in the character of Assi and she doesn't feel the same way as Assi's character feels to the prince.

"Are you sure that you will be able to forget, Prince Rakim? And if the prince will hear what you said he will surely feel sad because he loves you so much."

Yassi smile at her maid. "I'm very sure. And if he really loves me, he will marry me no matter what and he will fight for me. But he didn't and marry someone else. So it means, he didn't love at all."

"I think you have a point, My Lady. And it's better for you to forget him so you will not cry again," Flera agreed with her.

She smiles and feels relief. She will not have to explain to her maid why she seems so different from the Assi's that she used to know.

"Ahm, can you not call me Assi again? Since I will forget Prince Rakim I should also forget that I am Assi. From now on, just call me Yassi. Okay?"

"Yes, My Lady. I will obey whatever you said."

Since I'm here inside the comic book's world I should act as Assi while thinking about how I could go back to the real world. But where is the real Assi? Did we two switch our world? Is she in the real world and pretending to be me just like what I'm doing now?
