Nicole made her way up to the 50th floor riding the elevator with Lucas, Mark and Andrew. When they arrived, she was the first to walk out of the elevator. Usually it was Lucas who led the way but today Lucas didn't feel like he allowed her to walk in front and he walked slightly behind her. Nicole kind of liked it, it was good for her to take the lead sometimes plus she felt Lucas wanted to stay behind to get a good view of her, to admire her even more.
She had a spare key to the apartment and as she approached the front door, she brought it out from her handbag and placed it into the keyhole. She was about to unlock the door with the key when she heard lucas' voice from behind.
"I love you", he whispered to her, smiling.
"I love you too", Nicole whispered bac
Ambrosia and Mary had finally settled down to life in the central part of the city. They had looked for one of the best and most secure residential buildings in this part of the city and had settled for the high rise luxury building the vampire hybrids lived in but unknowingly to them. They were staying on the 10th floor. They chose that floor for many reasons. From the 10th floor above, you could rent the entire space of your floor without having to share it with anyone, so that meant they had a lot of privacy. Also if there was a need to escape from the building in case there was a threat to their lives they could still jump from the 10th floor and survive. Whatever wounds they sustained would not be fatal because of the height and their bodies would heal themselves in seconds to minutes. Life had been good to them for the 2 weeks they had stayed here."Later tonight I will go
Dracula had converged at the edge of his territory as he had been instructed to do. He was not alone. He came with all his new 6 Generals; Apollo, Jones, Tasha, Matthias, Kim and Cleopatra. He didn't know if she would show up tonight at midnight as she had earlier planned 2 weeks ago. He waited in the darkness of the night, only the full moon illuminating the night. It was now a quarter past midnight and Dracula had lost faith she would be coming as planned."The witch has not showed up as expected. Well I am not surprised, she never meant to help us anyways", Dracula said, as he took one final look around his surroundings. Suddenly he saw a lady approaching them from out of the blue. Her footsteps were totally silent, which was weird considering she was supposed to be walking on dead fallen leaves.
Dracula and his Generals made their way back to his territory and lair. They were gathered in his court where a new throne had been made for him to replace that which Lucas spoiled. Their purpose of gathering was to discuss the offer the witch had made to Lord Dracula.Dracula sat down on his lofty throne as he addressed them."Like I said tonight before the witch, I will discuss her offer with the vampire hierarchy and you 6 are the inner circle of that hierarchy; the vampire council"."What do you think of her offer?", he asked. His question was nowhere genuine. He didn't really care for their opinion in this matter but he wanted them to have a say and arrive at his own conclusion at least.Apollo wa
"Yes the border is very vast but I believe she will not detect we are searching for her if we do so discreetly. While she is in her translucent state, it means her real body is somewhere performing those acts. That alone is enough distraction for her and we can use it to our advantage", Apollo said."So how do we search for her discreetly and where do we search? We will only have a few seconds or minutes before the meeting with her is over", Kim asked."We can try to buy more time with the witch. If we can buy sufficient time then we can be able to track her", Apollo said. The stacks were high but they had to succeed because Lord Dracula was banking on them to. Failure was not an option.***The territory of t
Lucas and Nicole were coming back from the apartment after having a nice time together. They had spent their evening in the central park of the city taking in nature and enjoying each other's warm company. It's been barely over 24 hours since Lucas proposed to Nicole and she had accepted his proposal to marry him. They had fixed their wedding for the following weekend, something lovely but private. Just the 2 of them with Mark and Andrew. Nicole would have loved Angela to come with them but she was nowhere to be found. As they walked into the building hand in hand, both of them happy and smiling, Lucas picked up a strong euphoric smell on the first floor. He was already used to the smell of Nicole, this couldn't be her. He let his sense of smell guide him to his targets and when he opened his eyes he saw two couples ahead of them making their way to the elevator.
"Do you know who she is?", Lucas said, as he bent some inches away from them, so he was at eye level with them and looked into their eyes just in case they planned to lie to him. If they were truly out to harm Nicole they would try to pull a surprise strike on him, seeing only a few inches separating them or they would try to lie directly to his face. Whichever possibility it was Lucas was prepared for them all."No, we don't. We have never seen her before now!", Ambrosia said, scared to even look Lucas in the face. He had the aura of death surrounding him."And what about you?", Lucas turned, facing the female vampire Mary."Please I do not know her!", Mary begged, almost in tears. She was still holding tightly and pulling on Ambrosia's shirt.
It is now past midnight and again Lord Dracula and a few of his generals have convened at the neutral zone between their territories. Mildred once again kept them waiting as she played her mind games."I hope the others are in place?", Dracula asked. With him was Mathias, Kim and Tasha. Apollo, Cleopatra and Jones had all gone into hiding trying to figure out the hiding spot of Mildred."Yes Lord Dracula", Matthias said. All they were waiting for now was for the witch to show up and she did."Good, you could finally make it and join us!", Dracula said excitedly.Mildred smiled at him. She was still in her translucent form. Her physical body was somewhere else and she was communicating from there
Lucas learnt all he could about Ambrosia and Mary as they stayed in their apartment and one thing that stood out for him was that he was the bridge connecting all of them together. He was the link between the witch, the werewolves, the vampire and even the humans. He understood all of them perfectly and he could be the key that could change everything.Lucas had never thought about his role in that light before until now. What he learnt from Mildred was that he was at the top of the food chain and others below them didn't really matter so much.Ambrosia had lived a long life and there was a lot he could learn even from a supposed enemy. Nicole was supposed to be his enemy too as a vampire but through her he learnt how to control his urge to feed on vampires and how to rather drink human blood bags.&
