Angela was gone and Nicole was lost in her thoughts. Lucas gave her a hug to console her. Whatever she was going through, he was here for her.
Dracula and his Generals were still standing where they were. It appeared Dracula wanted to have a word with the vampire hybrids earlier but Lucas was too angry and hostile for that because he had not yet seen Nicole. Now that that was settled, Lucas had their time.
"Your actions caused me a lot", Lucas said walking towards Dracula. He didn't look too angry but he didn't appear friendly either.
His Generals quickly stepped in front of him; Katharine, Vladimir, Talon to protect him.
Lucas stopped in his tracks as he looked at them. He appreciated their loya
Life in the city had come to a stand still, as almost all parts of the streets were empty by 7 AM. It was highly unusual for such a thing to happen in a state like California but it did. The vampire hybrids had wreaked havoc in the city and thrown fear and anxiety into people's minds. Alpha White couldn't stand this going on for much longer."I need you - Mildred, to help restore back the former order of the world, were humans think they are at the top of the food chain- the apex predator", Alpha WhiteMildred did not object, she was glad to help. She only hoped the vampires had killed Nicole by now because that would be the only thing that would make the hybrids go on such a grand killing spree without caring if they were exposed to humans or not."Yes A
"We were deceived by you, O Lord Dracula and that deceit has cost us our very lives!", the vampire original said."How many more vampires would have to die before you admit, O Lord Dracula, that you can no longer protect the vampire population?! How many more vampire deaths would make you admit the vampire hierarchy has failed?!", he said. The crowd of vampires roared in support. It appears they were fed up with Dracula and his management. Their lives and entire existence was nothing to him. They were all disposable to him like pawns in his game of chess with the vampire hybrids.Dracula had been asked a series of questions and he needed to respond. His answers were very important because it could decide if his subjects will continue to remain loyal to hi
Ambrosia and Mary had just crossed into California. It was dawn already and a perfect time to keep covering more grounds. They were only a few hours away from the territory of the werewolves. Now they were almost there, the realisation that they intended to walk into the werewolves territory gave Mary some hard second thoughts."I wish we can just go back home", she lamented."Can't we just go back home?", she asked."We can't darling, that's the first place Lord Dracula and the other vampires will be looking for us", Ambrosia said. He understood Dracula so well. He most definitely has the house in some sort of 24 hours surveillance.Mary frowned her face, to show she was unhappy.
Mary looked at Ambrosia as he uttered those chilling words. This didn't look like a natural disaster. It didn't look like anything of such, instead it looked like something strange creatures must have caused, to make the humans all hide away in their homes."I don't want to think it is another war between vampires and the werewolves or the vampire hybrids", Mary said. They normally didn't carry out their warfare in the open. It was done in secret, away from human eyes."They won't be so reckless to fight in the open, would they?", she asked Ambrosia. He knew how the vampire hierarchy worked better than her."The vampire hierarchy I used to know won't act so recklessly but then before I left, Lord Dracula was beginning to act that way", Ambrosia said. It was the
Lucas held on to her until she had the strength to hold him back. Lucas could sense he was alright now."Let me go get you some towels", he said, as he slowly let go of her and dashed to the bathroom. He was back shortly after with three towels. He placed two on the bed, while handing one over to her."Here you go", he said, as he stretched out his hands with the towel in it. Nicole reached out and collected it."Thank you for being thoughtful", she said, smiling at him.Lucas smiled back at her in return."My job here isn't done, let me quickly go get the mop and dry up this wet floor", he said. He had his way outside of her bedroom to where
Lucas and his brothers had arrived at their penthouse apartment, along with Nicole. They are settled down in its beautiful environment, as Nicole unpacked her clothes into the large room containing Lucas' wardrobe.Lucas was in the bedroom, looking outside the panoramic view of his window. From her he could see the entire city and reflect on what happened on his way back to the apartment. When they arrived at their luxury high rise apartment building, the whole building was on lockdown. The front doors were closed and barred and so also was the entrance to the parking area. Lucas had to come out of the car to identify himself before they could open the gates and let them through. With the security clearance of the building, it was almost impossible for anybody to get it unless they were let in.
Alpha White and Lucas entered the study room, after which Lucas shut the door."Please you may have your seat", Lucas said, offering him a seat out of courtesy."Thank you but I think I'll sit when we go back outside", Alpha White said."I had something really important to talk to you about before I arrived here but now I am here, my focus seems to have shifted", he said."Why is that so?", Lucas asked. He didn't want to assume anything that was on his mind, although he could guess what he wanted to say."My attention shifted to Nicole. Do you know her true nature?", Alpha White asked. He knew Lucas had his abilities to tell the difference bet
Alpha White listened patiently to Lucas' narration of the events that happened last night until he finished. A lot had really happened over the past few hours and he dealt ruthlessly with Dracula."Now I understand the link between the vampire killings and Nicole", Alpha White said."Your killings were not discreet though, the entire human population of the city were aware of it. They were aware that vampires were not mythical creatures but are real and that is not good for us or for them", he said."Did you ever wonder what happened to the bodies of the fallen vampires you slayed? Do you know why the humans are all indoors as we speak?", he asked.Lucas hadn't yet thought about that, all he thought ab
