Derrick’s POV.

I waited long enough for Sophia. She had been out for long enough and I needed her home right now.

“Secure the gates, I am going to find Sophia”, I said to my maids before I jumped off the steps and walked out the gate. I had asked her to stay home but she wanted space. Space in the middle of a forest, how ridiculous.

I parted the bushes and stepped inside. With my werewolf senses, I could feel her presence. Marking her was the best, it made me trace her faster. I hurriedly walked to the west wing, her scent was more present there, I knew this forest like the back of my palm.

“Did she have to clear her head?”, I said as I sighed and pulled my foot out of mud. I was absentminded, thinking of where Sophia could have been in this forest. It was a huge forest and I could feel her but nothing more.

I needed a trail, a footstep, a sound, anything.

“What did she need to think about that brought her here?”, my wolf whispered to my subconscious. I shrugged. Women and their probl
