“I need a change of clothes,” Alice said nervously.

“Oh, I will be right back,” Devon said, attempting to leave the room, but Alice’s hand came out through the bathroom door and stopped him.

She looked tense, and he stopped. He looked around and then back at her before he pointed to his closet and she nodded. She came out of the bathroom wearing only a robe and trailed slowly behind Devon.

“My bag,” she mumbled, and Devon took her bag out of the closet.

She smiled nervously and walked back to the bathroom quickly with her face already the shade of crimson.

Devon couldn’t help but smile at his nervous mate. Seeing her in a robe made his beast claw at him to mark her, but Devon fought it.

She came out of the bathroom a few minutes later, and Devon ushered both of them out of the bedroom for breakfast.

They found Lilac already seated at the table when they came down the stairs.. Her eyes met with Devon’s and she smiled. Alice sat beside Lilac, who smiled at her.
