They appeared at an unknown destination that was quite far away from the Palace. Devon immediately tried to reach Alice through their mind link but couldn't get in touch with her. He was too far away. “This is as far as my powers can take us. We walk from here onwards.” Diana said and walked away before waiting for the brothers. She would have teleported them right in front of their destination but she couldn't because of the hex and barrier that had been placed around the area.It would be a piece of cake for Alice to open a portal that led there, but Devon adamantly refused that option. How are they going to fight against the dark witches at this rate? Diana wanted to say to Devon back at the Palace B, but she held her tongue and said nothing about it. Her words wouldn't convince him. After walking for almost an hour Diana couldn't take it anymore. Liam and Devon didn't look affected by this at all b, but she was totally out of breath. “You should have let Alice open a portal for us
Alice lay facing the empty side of the bed beside her. She tried to link Devon, hoping that she could reach him, but after many attempts, she finally gave up. Joan had spent the whole day in Liam's chambers and even skipped lunch. Alice tried to make her come out of the chambers, but it only ended up making Joan more sad. They heard some of the servants gossiping about what had been happening at the Palace. “I want to lay down for a while” Joan had said after just walking with Alice for a while. “All this will be over soon,” Alice assured her friend. Now it was night, and Alice was thinking about how her powers had been acting all over the place. Her stomach growled violently a few seconds later. [Alice, are you awake] Joan said to Alice through their special mind link. [Yes, I am, I was about to go for a night snack ][Really, give me a few minutes, and I will be right there]Alice got up from the bed with a bright smile on her face. She was happy that Joan talked to her first. Joan
Joan took lilith's has and closed her eyes. Alice felt the tension in her body rise to another level what were they going to find. Was she spell really cast on her. Joan started to feel the power in her body envelop her, and she gasped when she felt something she had never felt before. There was this power…this energy. Her grip on Alice's arm became tighter. She tried to use her powers to see exactly what was wrong, and at the same time, lilith was searching for the same answer.. It was hard to explain. Joan's eyes flew open, and it was completely glowing Amber brightly. Lilith felt it also and gasped. What was this?Alice looked back and forth between them in confusion. What was this reaction? Was it really dark magic?. Joan retracted her hand a few seconds later, and the glow died down. “What's wrong? Is it dark magic?” Alice asked in a worried tone. Lilith and Joan exchanged looks, and lilith shook her head. “No luna, it's definitely not dark magic but___” the healer trailed off,
What!” Alice exclaimed in surprise after hearing what Lilith had to say. “How could this be?” she tried to get up from the bed when Joan stopped her. “I am about seventy per cent sure, but I might be wrong,” Lilith said. Alice didn't know how to feel about this information. At a time like this, it wasn't a surprise that she felt that way. How was she going to tell Devon about it? “The royal physician will be here anytime from now. He would be able to confirm if I am right or not”“Congratulations Luna” the royal physician said to Alice after examining her. “What!” “What do you mean, congratulations!” Alice said in disbelief. This can't be happening.“You are with child” the physician answered with a smile on his face. Lilith nodded, and her assumption was correct. That was one of the first things she predicted as Alice explained about how her powers had been misbehaving. But she didn't want to jump to conclusions. Since Luna was no longer in heat, it was bound to happen sooner or late
Diana's eyes fluttered open after she met with Selene. She got up abruptly from the chair she was sitting on and started to pace around pondering on what Selene had shown her in the crystal ball. Alice was expecting a child. If the dark witches should get a wind of a thing like this then it would be over for them. Her having a child would only mean that the energy she had would become stronger as time went on. As strong as the power the moonstones had. If the dark witches couldn't find the remaining moonstones, then their attention would be directed towards Alice. Her pregnancy had to be kept a secret by all means. She thought about the surprise Selene talked about that was something else too as if this wasn't enough of a surprise. This wasn't the right time to have a baby at all. Diana groaned in annoyance. There was nothing they could do about it. She left the room angrily and went to where Devon and Liam were.“Where have you been?” Liam asked when Diana walked into the room. “I t
THE FEW HOURS BEFORE ALICE WAS TAKEN…“I wonder when they will be back. It's been over three days already,” Alice pouted as she and Joan ate dinner. Joan didn't say anything and only smiled slightly. She watched as Alice appetite increased. Lilith had given her a medicine that made her have more strength than before she was happy about that.“What do you think about trying to use my powers after breakfast? Who knows, I might be able to open a portal without getting exhausted now” Alice said in a low voice.“Alice we have talked about this already. Lilith warned against that, she said you need a lot of rest and you should never exert yourself that it was dangerous.” Joan disagreed immediately. She was going to make sure Alice didn't do the opposite of what the healer had said.Alice pouted again and continued with her food. She tried what she had been trying for the past few days. Mind linking Devon, but it didn't work. Was he that far away? She missed him. She felt a bit emotional all
Joan's eyes fluttered open an hour later to see Liam, Diana and Devon standing by her bedside. It took her a few seconds to register everything that had happened. “Alice!” She said and got up abruptly. “Where is Alice!” Her hand travelled to her head because of the splitting headache she had. “What happened?” Devon asked her immediately without wasting time. He had been waiting for her to wake up after much persuasion from Liam for him to be calm and not rush out of the Palace like a crazy person to find his mate. “We were attacked by dark witches while taking a walk in the garden and…” Joan groaned a bit in pain. “I don't remember what happened next, we fought back and we were about to alert the guards but everything went dark all of a sudden” “Is Alice okay? Where is she?” Joan waited for a response, worry was evident in her eyes. “She was taken” Diana was the one who answered her.” what!” Joan exclaimed and tried to get out of the bed. But Diana stopped her Immediately. “We have t
Alice yelped in pain as she tried to free her hands from the ropes that were tied firmly around her hands and legs. Her eyes scanned the room that she was in, but she couldn't see a thing. It was pitch black. After much struggle, she was able to free one of her hands. She soon got her second hand and legs free also. Where was she? The last thing she remembers was a dark mist surrounding her and Joan, and then she opened her eyes and found herself in this dark room. She was probably taken by the dark witches. She figured that part out when she saw that she was tied. What about Joan? Was she taken too? She hoped not. Alice sighed deeply and started the plan she had been thinking about in her head as she was trying hard to free herself from those tight ropes. It wasn't anything grand. She just needed to open up a portal that would take her back to the Palace. The only problem was that she didn't know if Joan was still her and was placed in another room. She couldn't get Joan out by hers
