"Why don't you want to talk to me? Are you upset" Alice asked in a soft voice.

"Yes." Devon answered in a low voice.

"At me?" Alice raised her eyebrows. How could he mad at her when she was the one who got bitten by his beast?. She wanted to wake up earlier but it wasn't possible, till joan arrived.

Devon shook his head quickly, when he saw the confused expression on Alice's face. "At myself"

"Why?" Alice didn't feel sleepy, though the night had gone very late and the moonlight illuminated the room through the window glass.

"I hurt you. I put you in danger" Devon said in a matter of fact tone.

"You didn't do it intentionally." Alice tried to reason with him. She snuggled closer toward Devon. Who moved back to avoid her touch.

"Don't move please…" Devon frowned, he gritted his teeth from seeing surprise on Alice face. He didn't dare to touch her neck or any part of her body, afraid he would add her misery. "I will call Lilith."
