INAL: CHAPTER 6

"Hey! Wait up! Hiro!" I call as I chased him down the stairs. 

However, he just keeps walking and rejecting me like he didn't hear someone calling him out. 

Is he just pretending not to hear me?

Perhaps, sometimes he is deaf? 

Until I got a chance to reach him and pull out his arm. I thought he will going to push and yell on me again, but he only stops walking. Not facing me.

"Hiro, " I called him, nervously.

"Keep off your hands on me." He says. Even the tone of his voice is flat.

"Ah. Sorry." I uttered, and let go of his arm.

"Stay away from me." He says and was about to walk when I spoke.

"Wait---"

"Don't talk to me."

"No," I complained. I walk towards them in front of him. I look at his eyes. Like earlier, I can see no emotions engraved at his face. 

"By any chance, didn't you recognize me?" I ask him confidently. 

His brows raised, however, his mouth stays zip.

"Don't you really, remember me? Even just a little?"

"Don't you understand me?" He asks, seriously with an irritation.

"Pardon me?"

"Don't talk to me. I am not interested in you. So, I'm giving you the last chance. If you're going to cross a line with me again, I won't hesitate to hit you." After he said that, he left my sight.

I don't know how would I feel about what he had said. 

I can't. I can't speak out.

Why does he be so tough? 

Doesn't' he really recognizes me? For real? 

No way. This cant be. I know he is Kevin. He is not Hiro! 

Again, I quickly run after him. 

"Hiro! Hey! Wait!" I hastened my walk down the stairs until I could reach him again. In the second time, I pulled out his arm back and--

"Dammit!" He yells out and forcibly pushes me. 

With the force of his thrust at me, I lost balance immediately, causing me to fall down the stairs.

Just then, I found myself lying on the floor. My face screech from pain as my back hit the floor. With the use of my little strength, I got up from lying, feeling the pain in my back. 

I'm expecting for Hiro to help me out, but he just walks down the stairs, stands in my front, and stares at me. "The next time you lay your finger on me again, I will really hit you for real. Do you understand!?" He roughly says and left again.

As I watch his back leaving my sight, my tears suddenly drip down.

I'm not crying because of the pain I felt in my back, instead, I'm crying because that's the way he treats me.

I know and I will keep insisting that he is Kevin, my best friend. I can feel it. And I'm hurt because he didn't even recognize me. He even treated me like his greatest enemy. 

'Why is he being ruthless?'

Its been eleven years and months counting had passed, since I lost him in my arms. And I really miss him damn so much. 

I really want to see my best friend.

I wiped my tears, fix up my uniform, and stood up. 

'No, Joy. This is just a beginning. Perhaps, he forgets you since its been a long years. Right. And I will do everything just for him to remember me again.'

That's right. 

I take a deep breath before I walk downstairs and I went back to the dormitory. 

"Joy, where have you been?" Frey asks me between hiccups as I enter our room. 

Meanwhile, Sammy is reading a textbook and Yassi is sleeping with her glasses on. 

I just shrug my shoulders and sat down on my bed carefully. Really, I can feel so much pain in my back. It seems to have bruises.

"Are you okay?" Frey ask me again in concern. 

"Yup, I'm okay." I smile, reluctantly. 

Sammy on the hand, looks at me, bringing the eyes of the detective. "Did you cry?" She asks. 

"No--"

"Don't say no because it's obvious." She closes the textbook she was holding and set it aside. She stoops up, comes towards me, and sat on my side. "Care to share now?" She asks tilting her head towards me.

Frey also stood up from her bed and go to me. "What happened?" Frey added questions.

I guess I don't have any choice to hide.

I take a deep sigh before I spoke. "I went after him." 

"Who? Hiro?" They both ask in chorus.

"Not intentionally. I was just, touring my self around on the campus. On the 5th floor, they saw a staircase, going to the rooftop. With my curiousness with me, I went to the rooftop. And then, I saw Hiro." 

"Could it be? Did he nudge you again!?" Frey voice out. 

"No. No, of course, he didn't." I say shaking my head. So I lied.

I don't want them to know.

"So? What exactly happened then?" Sammy ask.

"I confronted him. I ask him if he remembers me." I sigh out. 

"What? You did? Can't you still believe that he is not Kevin?" Sammy asks.

I honestly shake my head. "I know he is Kevin. Not only did the bracelet prove that he is Kevin, but also his face as well. He really looks like Kevin. I swear! " I protested. 

"Come on, Joy." Not Sammy nor Frey says, but its Yassi, who just woke up. 

"Are you dreaming?" Frey raised an eyebrow to Yassi. 

Yassi got up from her bed, with her messy hair. "Nope. I'm wide awake and I hear you guys." She looks at me. "Stop that illusion of yours. Everyone has quite the same shape as the face."

"Right! I already told you about that right? Actually, you look like my childhood friend before--"

"No, Frey. I'm being serious right now. I'm not having an illusion nor, assuming. My instinct says that it was him. Believe me, girls. Please?" I beg. 

They both heaved a sigh. 

"Joy, you know what," Frey stood up and sat on the chair in front of the mirror. "We can't, inasmuch we don't have enough evidence. So sorry, but you have to accept the truth ---" Frey, didn't be able to continue her line because a loud knock came out of nowhere. 

"Who the hell is this?" Sammy whimpered. 

"Class hours? Impossible. The bell hasn't rung yet." Yassi added while looking on the clock. 

"Who knows if we don't open the door." Frey rolls her eyes and stood up. She walks over the door and opens it. 

"Frey! Hey guys, come out right now. Hiro is beaten outside the dormitory building! Come on!"

Both our mouth parted in what we heard. "WHAT?" 

Hiro is beaten? By whom?

"Hell. Come on!" Frey invited us so we quickly ran outside of our room and the three of us went outside the building of our dormitory where chaos took place.

When we got outside, we were surprised to see Hiro, lying on the lawn. Bloody the edge of his lip.

"What now, Hiro!? Huh! Fight on me if you can, bastard! Get up!" A guy shouted on him as he kicked Hiro's right hip. 

"Frey! Whos that guy!?" I ask Frey, clenching my fist. 

"He's Klay, who likes Nathalia. I think he saw the video." Frey says while focusing on the scenario. 

Hiro's face is screeching in pain. Meanwhile, the three guys who punch him are laughing and students around are filing them. 

"Girls! We must do something. Let's help him--"

"No, Joy. We cant get into trouble." Yassi says.

"But--" 

"If you don't want to clean the whole building, you better not interrupt," Sammy added. 

"But... Ah!" I sigh out, loud. Bitting my lower lips with frustrations. 

I look back at Hiro. He is in pain. 

I can't stand up here, doing anything knowing my best friend is in trouble. 

I feel disgruntled even more. 

I close my eyes and take a deep breath before opening it again. 

I look sharply at the three guys, who are the one who beats Hiro. 

"Hiro!!!" A shout coming out of nowhere. 

We both look to the one who shouts. 

Its Nathalia. 

She walks towards the three guys.

"Hey, Klay! What do you think you are doing huh!? Why did you do this to him!?" Nathalia voice out loud, and she bends her knee to look at Hiro. 

"Hiro? Hiro? Do you hear me? Are you okay?" She asks as she taps Hiro's cheeks but we scream in shock when Hiro's push her. 

"Don't touch me! You don't have any permission to lay your hands on me." Hiro roughly says. 

"Gosh, I don't really know what kind of creature Hiro is." Yassi mumble, shaking her head in disappointment. 

"You shit!" He grunts and was about to hit's Hiro's face again but I quickly walk towards him and...

I punch him with all of my strength. 

"Ohhhhh!"

'Oppss! I made it!' I'm amazed. I made him fall down on the lawn. 

Students scream amazingly and all of their cameras are on Klay, who is lying now on the lawn. 

'Well, you bastard, deserves it.' 

I smirk at him. 

"Fuck shit! ----" he murmured but I ignored him. I turned my back away from him, however before I could take a step away --- He pulled out my hair.

"Ahh! Ouch!" I scream. "Hey! Let me go!"

"Hey!" Yassi's voice out, and walk towards our direction with Sammy and Frey. 

"Klay! Let go of her hair, now!" Frey commanded, pointed him. 

"Don't intervene here if you don't want to get hurt!" Klay warned at them.

The two guys, which Klay's companions, started to step back. 

"Klay! Stop this!" Nathalia interrupted. 

"Hey, Klay! Let go of our friend right now if you don't want me to tear your body into pieces shit!" Samm warned back at him. 

"Huh! Who are you talking down with----"

"What's happening here!?" 

Another loud voice coming out. 

Oh, damn. The principal. 

"All of you, go to my office! Right now!" She pointed us except to the students who are just watching.
