Usually it takes me two days but I wanted to post it already. I'll edit it though immediately once I saw the error. But guys I have bad eyesight so please forgive me uwu).
--JM, April’s boyfriend -- It wasn’t ber months but why does those air feels cold? “Today was a hectic day, Jill!” April complained. There was a long sigh as she plants her head on her best friend’s shoulder. She looked weary and restless. “Ma’am Abueg is such as sadist! She gave all those difficult activities without even giving us more examples.” The two was on their way home, the tricycle was the daily form of commute especially they were miles away from school. They passed the endless road covered with rice paddings. The mountain was shaped perfectly and one would gaze at it’s majestic peak but for them, it’s nothing new. The rocky road track that government promise to fixed last election, the barking dogs that kills little children and even the creepy eyes as you walked alone. That’s one of the reasons why they commute on a day-to-day basis.
—The door which they called for help— Some memories are inked into one’s brain, unable to erase or remove it. “Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeelp!” A wailing voice was heard at the end of a hallway. “Opeeeeen the doooor!” It was a sorrowful and blue echo of voices. Everything was dark and gloom but the pathway was visible even though wasn’t present light. “Someone please! Open the door!” They continued to ask for help. The sound came from the door on the other side. He was being called to open it, despite the huge sign that says stop! Do not open it. It kept asking for help. The longer he waits, the desperate the call was. “Open the door, let us through!” The voice never stops. “Heeeeeeelp meeeh” He knew the familiar voice, the irritating voice that he regrets to hear. It wouldn’t stop pleading for help. He felt a heavy weigh on hi
-- They look good together -- “You look pretty exhausted,” said Jill with worried look on her eyes. She offered to check his body but Wayne politely declined. She looked down and pouted, she wanted to know the problem but he was very distant. “You sure this would work?” Wayne asked. He looked sweaty with blurry eyes but he didn’t want to missed out the classes. He can still feel the ache from his wounds, the sore was still there, but the beat up face is almost fixed with strips of unnoticeable wounds thus he wore a mask today, he also brought a hoodie just in case. They were avoiding Anastasia, who was looking for him since yesterday. “Yeah of course! Not a long-term alternative but works for now. Also be careful, she swore to kill you. I heard those words yesterday.” She told Wayne. Jill grabbed his hand, he looked at her confusingly. “Be safe okay?” “You don’t have to worry that much
- April and Wayne - “Listen! It’s not like I want to join you, Jill just forced me to be here.” April exclaimed. Their teacher gave them an activity to work on it pair up and April didn’t expect that Jill would push her to Wayne. April looked at him, the guy is looking good but certainly not her type. She sighed as she accepts the fate her best friend brought upon. She glances to where Jill at, she seemed to be busy Rita. April returned her eyes to Wayne, she caught him staring at her before averting his eyes. It couldn’t be more awkward if the silence remains for more hours but April couldn’t care less. Another gush of sigh before turning her head around. It’s better not to stare at him and get over this immediately. But as her eyes wandered around, she felt something, a soft giggle made her turn back her eyes to Wayne whom she confirmed staring at her. “What?” She asked in dumbfounded tone. “Nothing?”
- The scum’s wish- April made a choice to tell him. Even though she knew less about him, it was a spur of moment decision to trust him. The teacher already left with instruction in the board, some were already starting the activity while other are likes, chatting or frolicking around. Wayne watched her as he waited for her answer, his eyes was fixed at her as April nervously exhaled. “W-well, t-this, I mean” she finds it difficult to start her sentence. She had doubts inside her, but she realized there’s no reason to be afraid of. In the first place she had wondered why she kept it a secret. “Why don’t we keep it as an open secret?” It was her own words few years ago when they just started dating. “I’m really embarrassed talking, y-you know me I never imagined dating or whatever.” She told Jm. But a lot of years has passed and it was kept that way. “I don’t have re
-RECESS TIME- “Jill! I missed you!” April leap and pounced to Jill she hugged her tight as if they never seen each other for a very long time. MAPEH is over, it’s understatement but most students have done their task already and submitted it to Goshe. “Hi Rita!” she glanced at the girl reading book and smiled before she gave all of her attention to Jill “Ugh! Let me go April, don’t exaggerate!” Cringed, Jill tries to free herself but April having a body advantage remained dominant. “Noooooo, this what you deserve for leaving me!” She locked her arms and squeeze her tight. “Did you know? That was unexpected:” “Eeeeeeeeck, leeeeeeeeeet meeee gooooo I’m sorry” Jill apologized. “Let me go already, come on!” “Nope, I won’t” But April laughed and held her even stronger, “Apologize not accepted dummy.” “Eeeeeeeeh,
-Is this canteen or hell?- “Is that Wayne?” said one of the girls from their class. “Are they bitching on him?” The other mutters. They were all surprised to see the mysterious young man, with cold eyes and timid aura was hanging out with bunch of noise maker in their class. Especially the girls who had crush in them felt defeated. “Maybe he’s dating one of them?” One of them exclaimed. “I think it’s April, I saw them being lovey dovey during class.” “Oh yeah, I’ve also seen them, Wayne kinda kissed her in the cheeks they we’re flirting in the back.” The other agree. As soon they left the room rumors already spread in the entire classroom. From dating to getting pregnant that’s how quick it spread like a wild fire in forest. Wayne was in between April and Jill. He looked around, people there are a lot people.
-Slice of youth- Recess time was a crucial part of high school. It was seen as a short-lasting day to day event consist of eating and resting after an exhausting subject. But there's more to it than meets the eye of the boomer. The precious moments and the bond that the youth have, all of these memories are like photographs in an album, to look back in the future and to laugh at every story that they kept. The young man didn't quite understand it. He's day to say process was sleeping at recess time or being hunt by his dark and gruesome past. He never went out for recess; he was like an ape brought into the land of man, ignorant, and amaze of what the saw. Noise, scattered everywhere from different students. "I like Kim Sae Ron, have you watched the ones where she's an angel?" He heard different conversation from students walking by. "No way! I like her too!" "I love you babe" said the young m
Her Fears“When will you do it?” Jill’s eyes roamed, settling on her best friend in the distance. A significant span had passed since the two engaged in a heartfelt conversation.“Tomorrow, I’ve made up my mind,” Wayne declared.“Why not now?” Jill’s urgency cut through. “I want to know the answer.”“Chill, will you,” Wayne requested, a hint of nervousness creasing his expression. “Give me time to prepare myself.”“I guess I should also prepare myself,” she replied, a tinge of sadness in her tone. “But to be honest, I don’t think April is in the right mind.” She conveyed her concern.“What gives?” he asked.“Well, it feels like she’s been keeping a distance from us,” Jill observed. “Something must have happened.”“You think?” Wayne wondered, acknowledging the changes he, too, had noticed.Jill's concern echoed with sincerity. "Yeah, I do hope it’s nothing worse," she expressed, her genuine worry etched on her face. "She's already been through the worst breakup of her life. I know she’
What lies ahead Exams had arrived, casting a blissful spell upon the air. Jill and Wayne found themselves seated together on the grass, their gaze fixed on the open field bustling with fellow high school students. Jill turned toward Wayne, her curiosity getting the better of her. "What do you want to do next? Are you still staying here?" Wayne nodded, a small smile gracing his lips. "Yeah." "That's good to hear. Another school year with you," Jill teased, a playful raise of her eyebrow adding to the moment. "Oh my God, now that you're looking at me like that, I'm beginning to regret my decision," Wayne replied, shaking his head. "Eeeh? Don't be like that," Jill continued to playfully banter. "But I guess school's kinda fun when you're around," he admitted, a warm smile of appreciation lighting up his face. "This semester was unexpectedly fun." "Never imagined the day I would be able to talk with you. I guess all it took was luring you using April, oops," she said, slipping up a
FORGIVENESS THAT HE THOUGHT HE COULDN’T GIVE There was still an hour left before he met his father, but Wayne wanted to leave already. The class was still ongoing as he waited. He was bothered with questions, he did say that he wanted to talk to him, which was something that rarely happens. He assumed that he already went back and heard the news, but what now? Will he call him to come home or disown him? He was troubled the whole time. The classroom was quiet, there wasn't much to do. The teacher writes the lesson on the board, while students copy it without question. Jill noticed the weary Wayne, she tapped on his shoulder to ask what’s wrong. “Are you okay? You seem troubled. Do you want to share your problem?” Asked Jill. The young man looked away, avoiding the answer to the question. But he knew Jill would keep buzzing about it, and so after 20 pokes on his cheeks he opened up. “My fathe
Grateful The midterm was just two days ahead. Students cramping to review to finish the project before the deadlines was a common sight to see. April was one of the tardy student who only does her school requirements few days before the given sate. Alongside with Hori and Joy, the two kept bugging Jill. It was 7 am in the morning. The number of students walking in the pathway keep growing. All had the same depressing eyes, exams weren’t a fan favorite in the school, except for smart ass students. But majority of the student in their school was bunch of students having no clue on what they wanted in the future. Joy sighed when she saw Aizen on the school grounds. She was avoiding him for weeks, and somehow hope that he would come visit her out of concern. Thus, she realized there’s no point of chasing him, the guy he likes clearly has no feelings for her. But deep inside Joy feelings remained solid, but not bright enough for her to confessed. The girl sulk and went back
I’ll love you until I can Jill reached the address that Anastasia sent. The girl wondered how she knew about it this place, and how come Wayne told the little girl before herself. It’s her first time A sense of jealousy spark inside her, she pouted before she approached the gates. There must be some reason why’s she’s here? The girl pondered. She had the gist that the two started living, and her reaction was flushed and slightly annoyed when she thought of it. “I better find it out myself.” She shook her head and opened the gates. Everything felt surreal, yesterday was a painful rejection but a light of hope when he said it was possible. That alone gave her hope to keep going, the two hasn’t started to confess yet, and thus she believed that she had a chance. He was probably tried to be nice, but that didn’t faze Jill. She loved him for a long time, and he couldn’t simply just back out. Unless he
Give her a chance “I wonder why he’s absent?” Jill wondered. The girl sat on his chair with the same pose he usually those. It was the old corner in t he back close near the windows, the young man stares in the window while girls that passed by wonders what goes on inside his head. She ignored the random blabbering of her teacher and sulked while thinking of him. April noticed her gloomy friend and decided to sneak beside her. She sat on Jill’s friends; her blank state best friend didn’t notice her until she tapped her shoulder. “Are you okay?” She concerningly asked. Jill stared at the window for a second, she thought about the days they used to hang out, the fun memories, and dates. The girl realized the ephemeral and couldn’t to pout because of it. Everything can turn upside down, life is short, and consistently moving. She sighed and ignored April’s words. Agitated, the impatience friend wanted to smack her in the head. But realize the love sick she had, she already had a glim
THANKFUL “Farewell mother, I am shutting you from my life from now on.” Wayne left before the sun had set. It was pitch dawn, he carried his backpack and walked outside the house. He didn’t look back, his memories from his home were nothing but fear, pain and suffering. The young man partially limps as he felt the pain from the beating that he got. It swollen badly, but he kept walking away. He finally got a place to rest when he reached the closest terminal. The young man waited for a ride. He sat on empty bench with flickering lights above. He sighed and laid his body. It was nothing but peaceful, he thought about freedom. The young man sees himself like a bird who escape the cage of abuse. “Sir are you heading somewhere?” It took a while before a tricycle arrived. “Yes, take me to my sanctuary.” Wayne picked up his belonging and told the driver his address. The young man got in, he was brought the place were told
Feelings “Jill? What if I told you that I like him?” April curiously asked. The girl looked at Jill who laid in her shoulder, she took a nap and remind her best friend to wake her up once they reach their house. She didn’t except her response, but Jill heard it clearly. The girl opened her eyes and respond. “That’s kinda dumb April. You just said it yourself, and don’t even try to deny.” April looked down; she avoided looking at her friends’ eyes. She wondered what would happen if she and Wayne started dating. Wayne as a boyfriend, I guess I would be a fool if I said no. He played an important role on my break. He would probably be good lover. She reflected back to their kiss, his soft lips, the expected reaction he had. April bit her lips and giggled. “Maybe it wouldn’t be that bad.” “What?” But she soon regrets
The Monster inside his home. He walked home with expectations. The face of her angered mother, the slap that he would get, the harsh words he’ll receive. He smiled bitterly. He tired of the same shit, the absolute rules and the controlling palm of her mother. He never obeyed her in the first place, he never once became the kind child she expected to be. The son a mother would boast in front of their peers, a son who would prove that they are a good mother. All he did was disobey and rebel, thus the feeling of hate between them was mutual. He knew that, and he expected those response. “I’m already fucked up, why bother following the fucked-up rules?” He told himself. Clenched jaw and curled lip, he had enough of his mother. He wanted to stand up for himself. To end the night of horror, to be free from the anxiety that he has each night. Mother is the cata
