Chapter 10: Traitor

Annie hasn't come home for 2 weeks, Dustin was very worried for her. Sometimes she didn’t come home or even came back very late. She even went straight upstairs, not even looking at his face. He felt extremely uncomfortable and angry. He also hired a stalker but it didn’t work, he couldn’t find anything strange because Annie only went to the office and shopping mall every day.

He sometimes suspected his wife of adultery…

Dustin sat in the meeting room but his soul flew away. He was unable to hear what the people in the room said. Even when the assistant called, he couldn't pay attention to the meeting. It wasn't until the phone rang that he was startled, quickly grabbed the phone, and rushed out. When the assistant saw his boss like that, he could only sigh. Dustin cared so much about his wife, but always pretended that he would never love her…

Michael has been receiving threatening letters for the past two weeks, forcing him to hand over shares of Vinwind or his company will disappear from the market. These letters seemed to be just a joke of some people, so at first, Micheal didn't care much. But when the evidence of his illegal business with Vinwind was sent, he couldn't ignore it anymore.

The businesses of some big companies are not always clean. Of course, this was also something they tacitly understood. But making it public like this...he was very curious about the person who dare to threaten him.

Since that, Micheal has also sent people to investigate who was behind those threatening letters. But he couldn’t find anything more…

Therefore, Micheal was in a state of confusion. He had to make some plans…

"Our people have reported that the mission was complete."-said Steve.

At that time, Annie was enjoying a meal in a five-star restaurant with a beautiful foreign girl.

She took the phone to see the notification.

The foreign girl took a sip of red wine and said:

“Are you busy?”

“Yep, I’m swamped with work, you know, I don’t even have enough time to rest.”

“It’s been a long time… since we were still in the university.”-said the girl

“Yeah! That was a memorable time!”

“What about Dustin? How is he? And… do you still love him?”-the girl was curious.

"Hm… our love?”- Annie thought for a second: "I don’t know… It depends."

"Is that so?" The girl was excited: "So why do you suddenly call me here?"

Annie took out a stack of papers and gave it to the girl.

"I’ve heard that you are going to cooperate with Vinwind. I hope you think over it and change your direction.”

"You want me to cooperate with you?" The girl laughed.

“No, I mean… It depends on you but I just don't want you to sign any contract with Vinwind."

“Huh? You are  getting more and more difficult to understand.”

“We are friends, right! And I always hope you good things. I do this because of my own reason, you should know that Vinwind is not a good company, I will explain later…”

“I understand, I believe you. I promise I won't sign with them.”

"I hope you remember that honor is very important."

Finally, Annie took out the tape recorder and smiled: "I hope you keep your words, that will be good for you…By the way, I have to go now, see you later!”

When Annie left, the girl breathed a sigh of relief.

“Bella…is becoming scarier…”-she thought.

Annie went out. Assistant Steve was waiting for her.

"Bella, why do you have to do this? Isn't it better to buy the whole company? Most of the shares are yours right now"-He couldn't help but ask.

“People like me…sometimes really enjoy the fun.”-she said.

A handsome man was sitting with a beautiful woman, the atmosphere was warm and harmonious.  Both two of them looked very happy.

"Yo! Who is this? Looks like an acquaintance." - Annie walked over with a bright face.

"Long time no see, Justin. You haven't called me these days, have you forgotten me? I’m so sad!”-she continued.

The man was startled: "Bell...Bella ... is that you?"

"That's right." Annie looked at him and smiled: 

"Oh! Justin, who is this girl? Why are you two here? If I remember correctly, this is where you and I often meet. Maybe..."

Justin startled: 

"Ah! No… It's not like what you think. I’ll explain!"

"As I thought? I didn't think anything. What are you talking about?"

Annie showed a shocking appearance, then she said to the strange girl:

"Hey sister, who are you? Why are you sitting here with my man?"

Her voice was not too loud, but enough for all people in the restaurant to hear.

"I’m... I'm..."The girl didn’t know what to say, stuttering all the time.

"Oh my god, so you're his sister? I'm sorry to scare you." - Annie pretended to be shocked.

The girl was startled, but suddenly realized something:

"That's right. I'm Justin’s sister...Nice to see you."

Justin looked at Annie, feeling a little nervous. But he tried to hide his emotions and smiled: "Bella, aren't you busy?"

“Yeah! Why did you know that?”- She continued staring at him.

 "Just because… You’re always busy all the time. "- He tried to avoid her gaze.

"You’re right." Annie pretended to sigh:

 "I'm swamped with work these days. But when I saw my man sitting with another woman, I was so upset that I had to be here immediately. Maybe... I'm too skeptical."

“Yeah! You’re too suspicious. I’ll never betray you…”- Justin smiled.

"Oh my god! I have to go now. See you later."- Annie took out the phone and then left.

Justin breathed a sigh of relief and sat down: "Amber, maybe we will have to change places more…But I promise… I’ll protect you, okay, trust me!”

"You don’t love me, do you? I told you so many times, I just want to eat here!"- she sniveled.

"Darling… I know that but… Bella is very clever, I’m afraid she will know our relationship.”

"No way, you don’t need to be afraid of her. Like what just happened, she is so stupid, I can see that. Or…maybe you don’t love me anymore…”

Justin was startled: "No, I love you more than anything! You’re my love, my life… I swear.”

“So… You will do as I said?”

“Of course. Your decision is also mine.”- He smiled with satisfaction.
