When I finally wake up, the room is darker, and my body feels heavy like I’ve been sleeping for days. I sit up slowly, rubbing my eyes, trying to shake off the exhaustion. My head is pounding, and my mouth feels dry. I blink a few times, reaching for my phone on the nightstand.
