70. Panic

Lona's POV

I couldn't believe what I heard. If that was true, we were still not completely out of danger. My abilities were limited. If I could hear the bad guys' voices, it meant they were not too far away from me.

If the bad guys really wanted to catch me, there would be a lot of them. We might not be able to beat them.

I tried to hear the voices of the warriors protecting me but didn't hear any sounds that might have belonged to them. This made me even more worried. I could hear the sounds of the enemies but couldn't hear the voices of the warriors which proved most likely the enemy was closer to me than the warriors.

If they catched me, it would be terrible. I had to do my best to prevent that from happening.

“The bad guys are still around.” I panicked and spoke up.

I needed to let Rose and the driver know this so they could work with me to find a solution.

The driver's eyebrows furrowed, he carefully looked in front of the mirror to see if there were any suspicious objects.
