01: confession

"HI, Gael," Tallulah Lopez shyly greeted the young man Gael Ramirez, a very handsome man that all the women she knew were attracted to him because of his very muscular body and his thick eyebrows so how could she not like him too?

Gael slowly faced her but instead of a smile leaving his handsome face, he just raised his eyebrows and seemed to be disappointed to see her.

He turned around as if looking for someone but he didn't see what he's looking for because she left Brielle and Kendric who were there at the far table from where they were. She did that on purpose because she thought this was the right time to confess to Gael and express her feelings for him. They are currently at Brielle's party because it's her 18th birthday. There were many people around and loud music was heard.

"Can we talk, Gael?" She asked, almost stammering, the smile never disappearing from his lips.

He slightly tilted his head and showed her his lack of interest in her. "No," he answered without emotion.

"B-but just for a moment, I-I just want to say something.”

"Well, I'm not interested, Tallulah," he said in her real name. He knew she didn't want to be called by her real name because it was not pleasant to her ears. She prefers to call her Tali.

Gael's stubbornness is not new to her, because they have known each other for a long time and since then, he has treated her like this. He's handsome but he's cold as ice. He is rude and doesn't seem to care about the feelings of others.

"Gael, please talk to me properly even just now. I have to say this to you because...because I know you're leaving." The smile disappeared from her lips and was replaced by sadness.

He sighed. He was slightly surprised to hear what she said. "How did you know I was leaving?"

"Kendric told me," she admitted. Because he is a friend of Brielle's brother who is also her friend.

He gasped and was obviously disappointed but his face immediately became serious. "Yeah, he's right I'm leaving so please stop chasing me like a dog," he said directly with a trace of annoyance on his face.

She was stunned. Dog? Does she look like a chasing dog? She is too beautiful to be a dog. "W-what? You're too much Gael, you talk too much to me. Did you see how beautiful I am tonight? I mean, everyday? I hope you can at least see me as a woman," she insisted. Even though she felt the pain inside, she didn't show it.

He shook his head, then looked at her from head to toe. "I'm sorry but I thought you're a man courting a girl because of what you're doing right now, Tallulah. It's not a sensible woman's job to chase a man."

She felt her lips twitch because of what he said. Does she look like that to him? A desperate woman? "Can you please stop calling me Tallulah?" She returned with a slightly raised voice. “Gael, at least once look at me as a woman. Am I not attractive to you? Do I still lack the beauty to make you notice?" She felt watering around her eyes.

She felt herself shrink from the way he looked at her.

"You think I want a girl like you? You're desperate to get my attention and I don't want you always following me... it's annoying!"

She thought that Gael couldn't hurt her anymore because she was numb from his daily ignoring of her but he could still say something to break her loving heart.

"I-I'm just doing that to make you notice me, because no matter what I do, you can't see me. Even if I'm in front of you, I'm just like air to you. I-I won't be like this if you pay attention to me, if you pay even a little attention to me," she complained to Gael.

She no longer cares about the people around them who can hear them. They were looking at her as if they were judging her but she didn't care.

Gael rubbed his forehead and bit his bottom lip before facing her. "Isn't it obvious, Tallulah? I don't love you! I don't love you, that's why I don't give you my attention! Don't be stupid!"

She felt like she was punched in the chest over and over because of the hurtful words he had uttered. She didn't expect to hear that from Gael. It turns out that he speaks more harshly and hurts more than when he met her.

"I'm a fool Gael, I don't care! I like you, I love you and even if we don't feel the same, I don't care. I can do anything for you to love me!"

"You don't have to do anything, because I will never love you. No matter what you do, I will never love you. I don't like a woman like you, Tallulah."

She felt tears welling up in her eyes because of the pain she was feeling. She simply bent down and looked around. Some of those around them began to get curious. She tightened her grip on the long gown she was wearing to gather courage. She didn't care if she was embarrassed.

She wiped the tears from her eyes. She looked up at Gael and smiled as if she challenged. "You are making a mistake, Gael because I will make sure that you will fall for me, that you will also fall for me," she said boldly.

Gael grinned and shook his head violently. His face was annoyed because of her. She was worried when he turned and walked away.

"Gael! Gael, wait!" She shouted so that almost everyone around her looked at her. She lifted the hem of the dress she was wearing and quickly ran to chase Gael. "Gael, please don't leave me like this!" She quickly hugged him when she caught up with him, making him stop. Most people were surprised to see them.

"What are you doing, Tallulah? Are you going crazy?" He violently removed her arm wrapped around his body and pushed her so that she sat on the floor. They especially grabbed the attention of the people there.

She looked shyly at the people who were looking at her and seemed to be judging her by the looks but it didn't affect her, she looked at Gael pleadingly. "Gael, I love you! I love you so much and I won't allow you to not be mine," she said desperately.

Gael gasped and smiled in disbelief. "What? You're crazy, Tallulah! Do you hear what you're saying? Don't you feel embarrasse? You and I aren't the only ones here," he said in a whisper.

She shook her head while crying. "I-I don't care about them Gael, I love you so much so please love me too," she begged.

She stood up from sitting while holding the hem of the long gown she was wearing. She approached Gael and tried to hug him but he stopped her. "Tallulah, stop!" he said emphatically.

"I love you so much Gael, please love me back! I-I don't know how to love without you," she continued.

"Tali, Tali what are you doing?" Her friend Brielle said in shock when she got to where he was because the guests had already gathered there and were curious about what was happening. "Stop it, Tali!"

She ignored her friend. She tried to hug Gael because she wanted nothing more than to do that to him. She doesn't know what to do when Gael disappears and leaves her forever. She loves him very much.

"Stop!" Gael said angrily and emphatically as he pushed her hard, causing her to sit on the floor again. She didn't feel the pain in her ass from the fall. "I said I don't love you! Don't you understand what I said, Tallulah? Don't be immature! Not everything you want, you'll get it, I'm not like the things you want and can take just because you're rich."

"Tali!" Brielle quickly attended to her showing sympathy and pity for her.

"F*ck, dude!"

She was surprised when Kendric appeared out of nowhere and punched Gael. He tilted due to the force of the impact. "I do understand if you really don't love her, but don't hurt a woman too much. She's too young, that's why she acts like that," he said.

Even though her vision was almost blurry due to tears, she didn't care, she stood up and approached Gael. "Gael, are you— "

"I don't need your care!" Gael shook his hand and looked at her intently. "Just leave me alone!" He turned and walked away from her while touching his cheek.

"Gael—" Tears fell one after another in her eyes due to the extreme pain she was feeling. She didn't know this would happen. She just wanted to confess to Gael.

"Are you ok, Talu?" Kendric asked her. Besides Tali, Talu is also one of her nicknames but only Kendric calls her that.

Her eyebrows met. "Why did you hurt him, Kendric?" She asked. Kendrick and Brielle are their firstborn. She is also eighteen while Kendric and Gael are twenty four.

Kendric sighed. He gently ruffled her hair. "I just want to avenge you, little Talu." He smiled at her. He has always been her protector whenever someone oppresses her.

She snorted and wiped tears from her eyes like a child. "You hurt Gael, I don't want him to get hurt."

"Doesn't he want you hurt? Come on, Tali, stop being a fool. He hurt you and yet you're still concerned about him?" Brielle responded with a trace of annoyance for Gael.

She remained silent and bowed slightly because she knew what her friend said was true. They turned around and they saw the mess she had made.

She turned to his friend. "I'm sorry, Brielle, I ruined your party," she said sadly. "I was just afraid that Gael was going to leave so I dared to confess to him."

"Damn it! You admit that you like him every day it's not enough? But what's going on? Hey! If I wasn't your friend, I might have hit you again and again." Brielle finally laughed and hugged her.
