Chapter 11 : Dinner and Disaster

I couldn’t believe it. I was finally free of that filthy place. Instead, I was now walking inside a luxurious castle owned by Alexander’s family. I knew that I shouldn’t have been comfortable enough to smile, especially since my place there was still in question, but with the years of living as a slave, I thought I could afford to be a little happy.

Alexander told me that I would join his family for dinner that night. I wondered what would be our main course, the dessert, and the drinks.
