I'm Inlove With Vincent
I'm Inlove With Vincent

First day at Kelly high School

My life took a dramatic turn when I received a scholarship to prestigious Kelly High School in Australia. Excited but nervous, as I stepped into the world of rich kids.

“Kelly high School” I sighed, looking at the gigantic building before me.

This school is bigger than what I see on TV.

I brought out the school map given to me, and tried locating my classroom.

If not for this map, I’d be lost.

Engrossed in reading the map, I bursted into a corner without looking and collided with another girl.

“Sorry, I didn’t mean to-” I apologized as I bent over to pick her books that fell.

But the girl cut me off sharply. “You didn’t mean to? How dare you ruin my day! Get your filthy hands off my stuff.”

“Excuse me?” I said, taken aback.

Another girl with black short hair sneered. “Excuse you? You’re such a dumb ass.”

“Girls, let's leave her or we will be late,” Their third friend suggested.

The girl in front , which I suspected to be their leader, gave me a disgusting look. “Don’t you ever cross my path again, or you’re dead. What an idiot.” The trio walked away, leaving me stunned.

Is this what a big school is all about?

sighed.

Rude people. I wish my parents were rich. Anyway, I came here to succeed to make us rich. Ignoring girls like them is the best way to stay out of trouble.

Shortly after, I located my classroom, found a desk and sat down. A friendly-looking girl next to me smiled. “Hi, I’m Kara.”

“Hello,” I replied.

“New student, right? I haven’t seen you before.”

“Yes, I’m Anna.”

“Nice to meet you, Anna.”

“Can we be friends?” Kara asked, offering a handshake.

“Okay.” I shook her.

Finally someone who seems nice.

“Let’s get something to eat.” Kara stood up.

“What about class?” I asked, feeling confused.

“In Kelly high we eat breakfast before class.”

“Oh, that's strange.” I was surprised.

“Let's go.” Kara beaconed and I followed her.

In the cafeteria, I spotted the girl I accidentally bumped into earlier. I could see her expression darkened immediately she sighted me.

“Is she a new student?” She asked aloud to no one in particular. Then she and her friends walked towards us.

“Hey, idiot,” She called out, her arm crossed.

I stood my ground. “My name is Anna, not an idiot.”

One of her friends rolled her eyes. “Who cares?”

The girl snatched my student ID card that was hanging on my neck.

“Wow, scholarship student.” She giggled.

“Yes, I’m Anna. Nice to meet you, and please give that back.” I glared at her, there is no way I'm allowing these girls to bully me. Not on my first day in school.

The girl sneered. “ Let me introduce myself, I'm Clarice, this is-” She pointed to her friends and they introduced themselves.

“Beatrice-” The one with short black hair said.

“Pink.” The last friend rolled her eyes.

“Now let me make myself clear. You don’t belong here. Get the fuck out of this school.” Clarice said with an irritated voice.

My voice was steady. “I can’t. I earned my place here through a scholarship.”

“Scholarship?” Clarice laughed. “Who cares? You’re a pauper. Stay low because you don’t belong here idiot. Come on, girls.” Clarice left and the rest followed her.

I turned to Kara, who looked down feeling uneasy. “Who are they?”

Kara sighed. “That’s Clarice, Pink, and Beatrice–a very bad gang. Clarice’s mom is a CEO of an oil company, and her dad owns lots of hotels. My advice? Stay away from her. She is in trouble.” Kara's voice was breaking as she spoke.

“Is this what a big school is all about?” I wondered aloud.

“Not everyone is like them.” Kara reassured her. “My dad runs a pharmaceutical company, and my mom runs a textile company. My parents are quite rich, but I’m not like that. What about you?”

I looked down, my voice soft. “My dad is a small farmer, while my mom teaches at a school. Funny, isn’t it?”

Kara shook her head. “No, it’s not. It doesn’t matter. I like you.”

After breakfast, we returned to class.

In the classroom, students were busy with one thing or another. Styling hair, scrolling social media, doing TikTok videos, Kara was on her phone. While I placed my head on my desk bored by everything.

When will the teacher come to teach?

Suddenly, the classroom erupted in cheers as two handsome boys walked in. The girls applied more lipstick, while the boys comforted themselves not to get in trouble.

My eyes sparkled with admiration as I saw these boys, how can they be so handsome and hot!

I turned to Kara. “Who are those angels?”

I asked, staring at them.

“Angels? They’re more than angels,” Kara said, her cheeks turned red as she daydreamed.

I shook her gently. “Hey, are you okay? Kara?”

Kara snapped out of her imagination “Oh, sorry. The first one is Vincent. His father owns the school and is also the governor of the state. To cut it short, he’s rich, born in riches.”

“Wow, no wonder. He’s just too cute,” I remarked, still watching Vincent.

“Yeah, the second one is Max, Vincent’s friend. He’s also rich; his father is a politician,” Kara added.

“Well, that’s enough for now. I have to go to the library. See you soon,” I said, standing up.

“Wait for me!” Kara called after her.

“Be fast,” I replied.

As I headed towards the door, a commotion broke out. Students were running and shouting outside the classroom then a girl ran into the classroom, trying to catch her breath. “They’ve started again! They’re fighting! Quickly, come and watch!”

Before I could react, the entire class ran outside, except for Vincent and Max, who remained on their seats with their plugged in their ears. I followed Kara, and we rushed to the scene.

Two girls were locked in a fierce battle.

“Isn’t that Clarice, the bully who snatched my ID card?” I asked, recognizing one of the fighters.

“Yeah,” Kara confirmed.

“But who’s that other girl?” I inquired.

“Hmm, that’s Lorna,” Kara said thoughtfully.

“Lorna? Wow, she must be rich by her look,” I observed, noting Lorna’s expensive clothes and confident demeanor.

“Yeah, very. Her dad owns a lot of casinos, and her mom is a surgeon,” Kara explained.

“Okay, so why are they fighting?”

“Hmm, because of Vincent,” Kara replied.

“Vincent? You mean that guy sitting in the class?” I asked, surprised by the fact that those girls were fighting for a boy.

“Yep,” Kara nodded.

“OMG, how can two girls fight over a boy? That’s nonsense,” I flared up.

Kara shook her head. “What? You’re so naive, baby. Why can’t a girl fight for a boy? Everyone loves Vincent.”

“Really? Including you? Why don’t you tell him?” I teased Kara.

Kara laughed. “Babe, you can’t just tell a guy something like that. Also, all girls are afraid of Lorna and Clarice.”

“What?” I became annoyed. “That’s bullshit. Everyone has the right to love who they like.”

“Not applicable here,” Kara replied with a sigh.

“Let's go back to class.” I pulled Kara back to class.

After the second lecture, I was checking out some words from the dictionary. When my mind went to Clarice and Lornaf ight. Yeah Vincent was hot, and handsome but those girls are being cheap by fighting for a guy that doesn't give a damn about them.
