Lena’s Point Of View.I watched as his face fell. He took a step away from me and I did the same.“You found the room didn’t you?”My legs were growing weak and I was unable to stand. We both stayed silent for a while and I decided to speak up. “You’ve been making me be someone that I am not, someone that’s dead. Your wife is dead and you told me she’s missing. You could hide her death from the world but why me? Maybe I should have known my stand. Maybe if you had told me the entire truth I would have fought for you even harder to help you and not build up crazy stories in my head.”“Stories like what? That I killed her?”“You don’t think I killed my own wife do you?” He folded his hand on his chest, he was on a white shirt and the navy blue jacket he’d worn to the office today. The sleeves of his shirt were folded to his elbow. He cracked. “Tell me you're joking, Lena?” I took another step away from him.“Tell me you do not think that I would kill my own wife.”“Did you ever love h
Lena’s Point Of ViewI couldn’t move. The only thing I could do as I sat on the toilet was to stare at the marbled floor. I looked calm but my mind was everywhere, thinking about what has been happening these past few days. I wanted to scream out and cry in frustration, but I just had no strength to do that. It was like there were no tears left in my body. I cleaned up myself after I was done using the toilet and washed my hands. Before I left, I sighted the bathtub at the other side of the room. I began to think of doing the craziest thing ever as I left the door ajar. Maybe if I do this, I’ll not feel the pain anymore, I’ll no longer have to bare everything.“Maybe in the after life, I will be happy.”I thought to myself as I took a few steps closer to the bathtub. My body began to shiver in fear as I entered the tub, turning the faucet on. The water was cold which was perfect for this sunny day. I watched as the water began to soak my dress. As the bathtub was being filled with the
Dante’s Point Of View“Mr. Roma! Mr. Roma!” I heard Irene’s voice as I was about to take a sip of my coffee. I quickly dropped the coffee as she continued shouting my name. It was like she had seen a ghost or something. “Mr. Roma!” I followed the sound of her voice as I met myself in Lena’s room. I noticed that her bathroom door was left opened as I went over to see what was going on. Her room seemed messy when I walked in. I wondered what had gone wrong. “Sir! She’s not waking up.” Irene said to me as she was beginning to cry. “What?” I said in confusion before I noticed Lena in the bathtub with her eyes closed. I felt a sense of terror overcome me as I walked closer to her. She was unconscious and it seemed like she had drowned in the water. She didn’t move as I shook her aggresively. “Gwen! Gwen Gwen! wake up!” I shouted on panick. I noticed that she was still breathing which made me a little bit calmer but I was still scared. I wondered what had happened. I wondered if she tried
Lena’s Point Of ViewI felt someone's hand going around my waist. Although I was still feeling sleepy, I managed to open my eyes. Suddenly, the familiar cologne of Dante whiffed past my nostrils and I sighed. Dawn was finally here again. After my night's rest, I felt a bit refreshed and rejuvenated for the day, but now I was feeling a bit angry.I moved my waist a bit hoping his hands would slip off it, but that didn't happen instead, he held it more firmly. He only released the pressure when I relaxed in his arms. For more than five minutes, I remained in my lying position as I visualized what I would be doing if I had gotten out of bed. Tired of staying in that position, I tried to climb out of bed, but he tightened his hand around my waist again, thereby preventing me from doing so. “Please, let go of me” I said with a slightly irritated voice. “Come on, that's not an appropriate way to greet. Good morning” he mused before planting a quick kiss on my neck.“Good morning. Are
Dante's point of viewStopping to stare at Lena who was laughing wholeheartedly my heart felt warm, I don't remember when she had ever been this happy before or when I ever laughed this hard. The past few days had been tough and rough on us both and if a soothsayer had told me some hours ago that we'd be this happy I'd laugh and scoff at such, she looks more beautiful when she's laughing and I couldn't help but stare at such beauty.I was glad that we were fine. We were okay."Why are you staring at me like that?" She asked jokingly."Like what?" I shrugged."Like I'm some piece of treasure." She said."Oh really?" I asked and she nodded her head."And how did you arrive at that conclusion?""Because there's longing in your eyes.""So you're an eye specialist now? Or is that only you catch my eye-tention."I winked at her and she couldn't help but blush and giggle."Look, a spider!" She yelled.I looked back in horror and was frightened when I heard her laugh even louder, I frowned my
Lena’s Point Of ViewI paced the living room, waiting for Dante to come back, he’d left abruptly without so much as a word. He’d been gone for over four hours now and in that time frame I’d done nothing but worry myself to death and back. I had even tried to use the home phone to call him twice but I had been sent to his voice mail several times. I had left a few messages for him to call me back and for him to let me know he was safe but that was three hours ago and until now there was still no reply from him.I had tried to distract myself by watching a show or something but there was a voice in the back of my head telling me something was wrong. I dialed his number one more time but just like the other times, I was directed to his voicemail instead.I let out a frustrated sigh before marching into the kitchen to get myself a bottle of water. I had only sat down on the sofa for ten minutes when Dante appeared in the door way.I jumped quickly when I noticed him and rushed to him.
Lena’s Point Of View“You have to know what she’s like, know how she’s been with Gwen, know things that have happened between them. Mother and daughter stuff Lena, you’ll have to know all of them.”“Dante..” He was rushing his words and it felt as though he was scared of what would happen. He held my hand tight and was explaining what I’d have to do.“Dante, Dante!” I called out to him and he stared at me. His eyes full of worry, was not a pleasant thing to see.“Everything will be fine, all will be alright.” I cupped his face, it was the first time I was seeing him freak out and it somehow looked cute and it also looked scary.“You’re freaking out Dante, it’s not going to be so hard. I have done it several times, I have been with a lot of people I don’t know, I have been Mrs Roma to them, I can be Gwen to Mrs Verona.” I calmed him down.“You’re still willing to help me even with everything I have done? Even with how things are?” He asked and I nodded slightly. I would do it and I didn
Lena’s Point Of ViewDante’s hand wrapped my waist and his lips kissing me, from my forehead down to my neck, I stirred in my sleep as I felt his warmth, tossing and turning, I smiled “Good morning Lena.” He kissed me on my forehead and I felt him leave the bed. My eyes opened to see him as he walked out. My nostril filled with his scents, he smelt like cedar wood.My eyes gazed at him, as frown came on my lips he was getting ready for work.I watched him wear his suit, standing in front of the mirror, he arranged his tie.“Your going out again? When did you return?” I asked. He left the mirror to come stand in front of me.“ I returned a few hours ago.” He muttered.“And your leaving now? Let me guess you won’t have breakfast?” He nodded.“I have so much work to do Lena, you also have a lot to do.” As we spoke, he walked to his vanity table and picked a file which was laid on the table.“You have to work on this Lena, I want you reading, cramming, understanding and flowing with every
