I parked the truck in the street and walked up to the front door and rang the doorbell. I could hear footsteps and then the door opened and Megan’s father, Kurt, stood there looking at me. There were too many mingling scents for me to know what I was dealing with, my head was throbbing and I could feel Abeloth’s absence. I needed to get somewhere safe so he could heal as well.
