Chapter 134: Reconciliation

“A-are you alright?” Lorcan asked, breaking the awkward silence between them. It is now Lorcan’s turn to ask her a question.

Raven did not respond; she bit her lower lip and averted her gaze from Lorcan, causing her eyes to drop to the table, finding her a chance to hide her reaction and conceal her thoughts.

Raven steadied her breath and shook away the thoughts that made her flustered as she picked up the small ointment meant for Lorcan’s minor wounds.

She rubbed her middle finger onto the smooth balm, letting it melt under the heat of her fingertip while she tried to compose herself, keeping her attention on the task at hand and not giving any room for her idle thoughts.

Raven slowly walked towards Lorcan, her eyes still on the ointment.

“This will sting a bit,” Raven warns him without glancing at him.

I don't know what will happen when Celia wakes up. She has had Lorcan under a spell or something and maybe it wore off while she's asleep. I don't trust that this means Lorcan will never put Celia above everything again. Just suspicious that not long ago he'd hurt her over his precious Celia. IDK
