NASH’S P.O.V.

I was annoyed with Clarice. She had kept me glued to her lips and like a drug addict, I found it hard to let go. Damn!

Zues was epically annoyed with me, because I delayed seeing the face of our mate. Hope she was as beautiful and as incredible as I have always wanted her to be. But, on top of it, I sincerely hoped she was a ‘she’, I thought again and prayed to the Goddess. But does Goddess grant wishes that are shallow?

Well, I was shallow, I know it. I am the fucking alpha of the largest population of the world, well, future alpha, so I had a reputation to maintain. Oh Goddess, please do not grant me an ugly Luna!

I was walking here and there searching for the source of the scent. I never had a preference for flowers till date, but now, lavenders were my favourite, roses being second. Thankfully my mom and dad were in council meeting now, and while they had dragged me here to showcase my face to the other regions and heirs, I was not allowed to sit in the meeting. It was a privilege for the alpha and luna of the pack, oh, did I say privilege, I mean burden. Poor souls! They would be stuck there for hours.

Anyway, I walked around and Zeus caught the scent. It was coming from a line of rooms. And out of it, much to my dismay, were at least four bodyguards. Who the fuck was it? I saw a teenage boy sitting outside, looking at his mobile. While I crossed them, I saw one of the she-wolf around join him with a giggling smile. The girl gave me a sly look too, and while that boy put down his phone and grinned back, I just pulled out my phone and ignored her. I don’t need my mate to be more pissed at me.

‘Now, that’s the spirit,’ Zues acknowledged my thoughts.

‘Oh, shut up. I have not even met her, seen her, and yet she has me doing what I would never do otherwise,’ I snapped at Zues.

‘Yeah, a girl smiled at you, that is your cue to fuck her, isn’t it?’ Zues growled.

But I just ignored his jibe. I took a long walk of the place, and when I came back, the boy was sitting with two girls now. He was a player, I could tell, and he was good!

The boy looked at me and jerked his head in acknowledgment.

I walked up to him, not because of the girls or I wanted to introduce myself, but because of that scent. Somehow, that scent was enveloped around him too.

“Hi,” I smiled at the boy, ignored the girls and offered my hand to him.

“Hi, I am Jared,” the boy smiled back and we shook hands. I felt an exceptional familiarity at his touch. It was like a very subtle, soft tingles. He too must have felt it because his brows creased and eyes narrowed.

“I am Nash,” I replied as he dropped my hand. “Of Shakti clan,” I added to introduce myself.

Jared tried to remember the reference, “Indian subcontinent?,” he asked.

And I nodded.

“Africa and South America,” Jared gestured at himself proudly.

I tried to concentrate at him. And while his touch was tingly, and his smell was nice, he was, in no way, tantalizing.

“I will see you around,” I waved and turnaround.

“Maybe he is jealous, Jared,” one of the girls crooned at Jared and I smirked. Jealous, as if!

While I had pinned the source of the scent near Jared, I walked around. I did not want to lurk there and alarm others. I went back to Clarice to pass my time. And while I was with her, I decided to not fuck her, despite all invitations.

‘No touching other females now,’ Zues ordered.

I rolled my eyes and I continued to talk to Clarice. She was quite annoying, I realized this in the next few hours. She had limited IQ and she waved her hands dramatically a lot when she spoke.

“Are you listening to me?” Clarice asked as I felt something twist in my stomach.

‘Let’s go,’ Zues urged me. And ignoring Clarice, I rushed out. I reached where Jared was still entertaining those girls and followed the trail of scent. I did not need to do much, Zues was leading me, it was as if my legs had a mind of their own.

And we saw her. She was a blur… she was running… so damn fast. Thankfully she was a ‘she’, I whooped in joy. She must have covered twenty laps of the large field in the last ten minutes when I walked towards her. I watched mesmerized as her black sports bra and black slacks was highlighting the white skin tone. Panting, she stopped and dropped on her knees. And I suddenly felt I should have had a bottle of water with me to offer her, damn!

“Are you always so fast or it is something in Swiss air?” I asked her as I leaned by a pole in the field. She was breathing heavily and in her crouching position, I could see most of her curves. A desire rose in me as my eyes fell on her br*asts. They were small but um.. perfect.

She placed her hand on her chest and got up. And I could tell by her look that she liked what she saw!

“Who the fuck are you?” she demanded. Did she ask this the second time? I wondered as I grinned at my obsessiveness over her body.

She turned and started to walk away. ‘Great, first meeting and you offended our mate,’ Zues barked.

I shook my head and walked beside her. I was impressed that she was even faster on a level field. She must be very powerful. Maybe I should race her sometime.

“I am Nash, by the way,” I introduced, dying to know her name. “And you are?”

“You don’t look like a Nash,” her face was contorted. It was as if she was fighting her emotions, her thoughts.

“I think you look like someone,” she spoke as if she was angry without any control, “someone who disrespects his heritage by disowning or feeling ashamed of who he truly is, and wants to pretend and fit into a society to which he clearly does not belong to! And for that someone, I really do not have the time of day!”

It felt like she had slapped me. How dare she! Who the fuck she thinks she is…

“Excuse me, I am not ashamed,” I barked as I followed her.

“Really?” she grinned tauntingly. “What is your real name then?”

“Avinash Singh Randhawa,” I replied angrily.

“Avinash,” she repeated my name and I felt so light headed at the sound that it seemed the sky was moving. I have always hated that name, but not now, not the way she spoke it.

“Why not Avi? Why Nash?” she asked sarcastically, erasing all giddiness from me.

“I like Nash,” I shrugged.

“Obviously,” she rolled her eyes as she moved ahead.

“And who are you? I am sure you are princess by your attitude,” I mocked her too. Zues growled at me, he wants me to play nice but how can I when she is like this!

“Well,” she stopped again and squinted at me. Her incredibly beautiful golden eyes. They seem to shine brighter in the dark. “I am a princess. And I am not ashamed of my heritage!”

She blinked rapidly and I could tell someone was mind linking her.

‘Maybe we should mark her and make her ours to link minds with her too,’ Zues suggested.

“Anyway, this princess is being called by her alpha queen, so, if you will excuse me,” and without sparing me another glance, she ran away.

‘Wow! She is fast,’ I repeated, impressed with her speed.

‘Did she say Alpha Queen?’ Zues demanded, bringing me back to my senses.

‘She surely did,’ I sighed.

‘Then she is a La Gualias,’ Zues growled. ‘Of all the clans, we are mated to the most protected, most dangerous one. If she is a La Gualias heir, we have to fight not just them, but also Whitakers, isn’t it?’

‘You listen in our classes?’ I smirked at Zues.

‘Of course I do. It is I who has to fight, not you,’ Zues growled. ‘Anyway, I think it is time to take corrective measures if we have to get past to the badass alphas.’

I tried to recall when I was taught about the La Gualias and Whitaker clans. But nothing came apart from their names. I could not even place where these clans belonged to.

‘Talk to mom about it,’ Zues suggested. ‘And Nash,’ he added, ‘get rid of Clarice before I snap her neck away from body.’

While I was not looking at him, I could feel his eyes on me since the moment I had stepped in the dining room, and I liked the feel of it. He was handsome, incredibly so, but before I develop more attachment towards him, I needed to understand him. All I knew as of now is that he was shallow and a playboy, but I knew nothing else about it.‘He is perfect, Jayden,’ Faye snapped in my head.“Why do I sense I know what is happening here?” Jared demanded as he pulled me out of the dining room.“What is happening?” I asked my brother as I tried to compose my face. I wonder what was reflected on it.“You like him,” Jared concluded.‘What’s not to like?’ Faye snapped.“Umm, even Faye like him?” Jared looked alarmed. “The way she is snapping at me!”Oh damn! But she doesn’t look it, and her words and actions definitely do not look it. Well, did mine when I was little! Mom dad always said Jared and I used to speak like we were sixteen when we were barely five years old. And dad often recalls and laugh that I had smacked him on his shoulders accusing him that mom left us because of him – well, mom was actually kidnapped! The worst eight weeks of my life. “Really Rainy,” I smiled at my sister. “Then why has mom broadcasted in our heads that we are to leave you alone,” Aron growled. He was eleven years old and looked it. He was as tall as I am but

I already had asked Clarice to leave this place saying my parents, especially my father, would go on a murderous spree if he spotted her again. And while it was true, it was not the absolute reason. The absolute reason was my princess, Jayden. I had even given Clarice shit load of money to enjoy herself in Switzerland for at least a month and return to Paris whenever she wished for, but she did not leave. It was a fucked up moment when she wrapped her hands around my waist and hugged me tightly from behind. “I asked you to leave,” I growled. “I asked you to leave and yet, here you are,” I barked in a low hiss. I could smell Jayden at a distance, but she was not here yet. This was her party and her mother had informed us all while inviting that the party was a surprise for Jared and Jayden. And that the twins – yep, a surprise

The sparks that were trailing all over my hand suddenly extinguished. ‘What the fuck are you doing?’ I demanded Jared in my head. ‘Getting to know your mate,’ Jared smirked back at me. He was dancing so closely with Nash’s sister that their bodies were touching. And oh, I could see it in her eyes, that stupid girl was falling for my playboy brother! “Can I at least dance with his sister?” Nash continued and I felt like I should slap him. “So you want to dance as a quid pro quo thing?” I growled at Nash. “Well, if that’s what get you moving because you are not replying to anything else,” Nash grunted, and without any ado, he pulled me to the dance floor and pressed me close to his body. My jaw dropped at the feelings that this sudden movement. “I am sorry,” Nash spoke after a brief pause. “For what?” I demande

NASH’S P.O.V. This was a clusterfuck! I cursed as I walked back to where Jayden was, but she was not there. Even Jared and Devi were not in the group. I looked around frantically, and someone just pointed in the opposite direction. I swore loudly as I rushed up to her. I would do anything, even beg on my knees for her to give me an opportunity to explain. ‘Explain what exactly?’ Zues was beside himself in my head. I had to restrain him from coming forward and rip Clarice’s head off. He had been warning me, and now I had done it…me! No, Clarice had done it. “Please,” I spoke the moment my eyes fell on her. I could tell from her stooped shoulders and the way her body was sagging, she was sad and broken, and it hurt me immensely that I have caused it. “Let me explain please,” I begged as she turned around upon hearing my voice. I was scared she would refuse to talk to me, but that slight nod of her head was like a breath for a drowning man. Quickly, without wasting a single moment,

Three years later. The stage was set, and the ceremonies were done. Well, at least the ones for which humans were invited as well. And now was the time to perform the most important ceremony of all… and now only the wolves remained! And among those were Nash’s family – immediate and extended, my parents, grandparents, my brothers and sisters, Dr Serena, Rhea and Taron uncle’s family."Why are so many bollywood actors here?" I asked Devi as we all sat in our seats, staring expectantly at the stage, where Nash's father was standing."They all are wolves, did you not know?" Devi grinned. "Dad let's them use their charm to get popular and stuff. Helps keep control," she winked."Wow! Isn't it like dangerous? What if they lose control?" I was shocked."Well," Devi shrugged. "Nothing super dangerous has happened so far..."I was about to ask her what has happened so far, but Nash's father cleared his throat and I looked up ahead.“I am your Alpha,” Nash’s father spoke to the assembled crowd

And he finally looked in our direction.“Who hired you to kidnap Devi?” I demanded as he certainly cannot be a mastermind behind all this.“One look, please,” and he hissed.“Are you a vampire?” I asked, confused.“He is in the sun,” Jared muttered. But then who was he?“He is a human,” Nash muttered. “He was not affected by wolfsbane, and he is not affected by sun!”“He is stupid, Jayden,” Myra spoke from her spot. “Very stupid. He was taking orders from someone else… we could not hear because our wolves are dormant, but he has been saying and doing whatever the man on the phone was saying!”And at this, Jared searched the man’s pocket and pulled out his phone.“A temporary phone,” Jared informed as he

We climbed to the second floor and instead of two men as Nash told us, we found three, but no issues, they were dealt with as well. But as the third one caught us by surprise, it was thrown down two floors with loud clattering sound and thuds. And it rendered all the occupants of the top floor quiet. ‘Fuck!’ Jared swore in my head. ‘Well,’ I sighed as we looked up, and saw two men looking down at us. They yelled and started climbing down stairs in anger. ‘Let them come,’ I spoke to Jared who took his stance to fight. And the moment the men approached us, I used my inhuman speed and pushed them down two floors, and they went tumbling down with another thud... I could sense Jared’s and Nash’s retort coming but it was Nash’s father who spoke first, ‘NO!’ he thundered. ‘Whatever may happen, I will not trade one daughter for another… this is not how things are done in my family!’ And my heart thudded. ‘Daughter?’ I whispered to myself. ‘You may consider me a devil, Jayden, but I do consider you as my daughter. I may not love you as much your parents love you, or I love Devi, please excuse that but you just came in my life, but you are my daughter. I hope they were not coming via chopper because that will announce our arrival. ‘This is normal, Jar,’ I sighed. ‘I can take them out…’ “She is not listening,” Jared shouted out loud, almost making me jump. ‘Jayden,’ now Nash’s voice boomed in my head. ‘Great, so you are awake too,’ and I connected him to my link with Jared. ‘We are not even ten minutes out,’ Nash spoke. ‘Covered five minutes distance in few seconds, are you guys flying?’ I snorted. ‘Something of the sort,’ Jared spoke and this time I did peer towards the sky. ‘Jay, remember your promise to dad.
