Time passed by quickly and it was 6 pm already. Ann was dressed in a sky blue trumpet, halter-neck gown. It went slightly below her hips, straight, and then flared down to her ankle. Instead of heels, she wore flats and tied her hair in two pigtails. She looked…
“Horrible! You look horrible Annie.” Lea groaned angrily. Ann’s two pigtails made her look like a kid and the shoes… well the shoes were manageable. Lea on the other hand was putting on a purple body-hugging gown that barely crossed her knees and matched it with black heels that had purple stripes on them. She had bought the dress using Brent’s card and although she cried that she spent his money, she was happy that the dress enhanced her beauty. She didn’t tie the hair but rather left it loose but wavy, with a pin on the left. Her makeup wasn’t much since she didn’t want so much attention.
“You look beautiful, Lea. Brent might just ask you out with the way you've dressed today.” Ann said and Lea bowed her head. That was never going to happen and she knew it. She also had a crush on Brent from the very first day they met but he was their best friend. Even if she were to be in a relationship with him, it would be jeopardizing her friendship with Ann, which she didn’t want to happen.
“You know… Even if he were to ask, I would reject him immediately. I can’t accept when you are our best friend.” She told Ann who just nodded. Ann had a little understanding. If Brent were to ask her out and she accepted, then they will have to go on dates together, leaving behind Lea. Their friendship will suffer the effect of their relationship.
‘Is this what I really want?’ She asked herself. She decided against it. Lea was with her from the very beginning. They’ve known each other’s dirty secret and have had each other's back, long before Brent joined the duo. She wouldn’t jeopardize it for a relationship that she has started to have mixed feelings about.
A car honked outside the house and the duo looked at each other. “Your hair!” Lea exclaimed and untied the two pigtails. She quickly used her comb and combed Ann's golden brown hairs all straight. Her hands worked some magic in a space of 5 minutes and Ann looked heavenly. Lea combed her hair all straight and styled the straight hair, wore on her some mermaid blue earrings and a shiny necklace on her neck. However, the shoes….
“Lea, we will be keeping Brent waiting. Don’t mind my shoes, at least it can’t be seen.” Ann tried to convince her best friend who finally agreed and they walked out of Lea's room hand in hand.m with smiles on their faces. As soon as Lea's room door opened, Brent raised his head to look at the fabulous ladies God gave to him as his best friends. They were awesome and beautiful, especially Lea. She looked so mature in her dress like she was married. Her perfect body was outlined by the purple dress she wore and he was lucky she was his best friend. Any man that approaches her, must pay a price to him for taking good care of her.
As for Ann, she was just so perfect in the trumpet gown she put on. The sky Blue just made her golden-brown hair to shine so bright. Her pale skin radiated even the more. Her necklace made a difference, the earnings she wore as well. But her shoes… Did she really have to wear flats?
He was almost forgetting the person he was talking about. Annabel Wen, the weirdest girl on the planet. She had her own style, her own character, even though everyone is unique, this one's uniqueness is more than unique. It’s unique among all other uniqueness.
“So how do we look?” Ann asked as they stood beside him.
“Too bad for the men there. These two ladies are all mine.” He whispered to their hearing and they laughed, making their way out for his car that was parked outside, a white Hyundai accent.
“Now this is what we call a ride. How about we go and crash a party, Annie?” Lea asked Ann who just smiled and they rushed to enter the backseat, without waiting for the driver to open the door for them. Brent just smiled and walked to the backseat and joined them. Once the driver took off, the chatted happily about what happened during the day.
Ann mentioned the fact that she met someone at the mall but she just spent time insulting him, to avoid the blush that could come on her face. Despite her really extremely pale skin, whenever she blushed, she turned very red like all red skinned people.
“He was dumb. Probably he thought I was dirt and that’s why he couldn’t utter a word to me.” Ann told them.
“That’s how rich guys behave. Why didn’t you just tell me? I could have helped in one way.” Brent told Ann and she laughed it off. Even if he would, he would have just been sent to the back because the guy she saw, was extremely rich. No doubt that Brent us rich as well but the guy she saw, he could buy the three of them… according to her thought though.
“How many minutes till we reach there?” Lea asked.
“A few more seconds.” Brent replied and Ann sighed deeply. Her first time to attend a party. Isn’t it awesome?

“How are the twins, Martha?” Margaret, Lea’s mom asked Ann's mom who stood at the door and was welcomed into the house. Her eyes beheld tremendous sadness and we’re red. She had been crying before she visited her very good friend. She knew the only person to turn to was the one person that stood by her side even when the church couldn’t reason with her.
“Hey, are you alright? Lea and Annie have gone out with Brent. Jakob is at work, he’s on a night shift today. Come in.”
“The twins are very fine. I left them at home when they were sleeping. I-I, I am not fine, Margaret.” Martha cried again and Margaret just ushered her in. The state in which she was in, wasn’t very good and Margaret wanted to find out why and what happened?
“Do you need anything?” She asked Martha who shook her head in denial.
“I saw him. I saw him Margaret with his new family. He has a daughter who is just as Annabel… He, he, ….” Margaret just shushed her and held her friend.
Now she understood better. This woman, got married to a man, who just wouldn’t stop hurting her feelings…
Ann ran to the cliff where she could sit and cry her heart out only to discover that she had been beaten to it. She noticed someone dressed all in white, sitting at the end of the cliff with one leg raised up and his left hand supported on it, then his right leg hanging down the cliff as his back was facing her. His hair was all black and she had a feeling of déja-vu, despite the fact that she was yet to see his face. She walked slowly, to avoid scaring him and causing him to jump off the cliff. If it were her, she would have done so and that’s why she didn’t want to scare him off.As she came closer, she noticed the side of his face and it reminded her of a particular someone. Someone who held a special place in her heart after the very first time that she met him. She tried to look at his face from where she stood not wanting to go close but he kept turning his head like he already knew that she was around. She sig
As Manuel, was in his black Audi, he drove with full speed on the empty road that was covered with forests and a few houses, till he got to a gate which was opened for him topass through. The part he was driving out of, felt as night while the other part of the road, on the other side of the gate was day. Filled with cars that passed like they didn’t know if the other side had inhabitants. The street was very busy compared to the one he drove out from. It was boring and not anywhere near lively. He drove inside the busy road and his car got lost among the other card that were on the road. He was glad to be away from home, from eh pest, demon that came to his house in the name of Ginny. ***Meanwhile, Ann was cleaning the back benches, while her mom wiped another set of chairs, a little far left to where the pulpit stood. She hummed as she wiped t
Lea had a sunken face before and after Ann left but Ann didn’t take note of it. She had been sad all along thinking of the ring she saw in Brent's bag. She had seen it and she knew that Brent wanted to propose to Ann.How could she have looked shadowly at everything that was going on? Brent was clearly in love with Ann and she was just the stick in their friendship.A feeling of envy took over her and she needed to clear her mind. Her mom worked at a shopping mall at the province while her, she was a teacher there. She could use the place and relax her mind but she didn’t think of something unexpected and life changing was ever going to happen to her back there at the province. She was seated in the front seat of her mom's car when her mom hurriedly unbuckled her belt and was running inside the mall.“I'm so sorry, daughter. The boss is here and I need to report immediate
Face smacking LadyRichard on the other hand took his Saturdays as his days off so he could go to the province and visit his relatives there. Not just that, he owned a very big shop, in fact the biggest shop in the province and he always used his weekends do go see if the business is functioning as it is supposed to.He entered his car in a black polo t-shirt and dark blue jeans, with a black pair of low high sneakers on his foot. He drove slowly but surely and steadily for the province with his mind on Manuel. He came this far because he had a friend as Manuel and he was never going to betray their friendship for anything in the world.Manuel had helped him set up the place for himself. Joined hands with him in creating RM studio house which was growing rapidly into a big entertainment industry as many artists just signing up with him. He wouldn’t have gotten that far if not for Manuel and he was gr
That morning, at the Han's residence, Manu woke up from his king-sized bed that was covered in white sheets. His bed was in the middle of his room but the head bed rested on the wall of his room. On both sides of the bed he had two bed lamps and a mini cupboard. At a distance, left to his bed were 2 couches with a transparent table between them, and a copy of the refined newspaper on the table. At the far south of his bed, was another table with a remote, similar to those on his bedside cupboard, and a TV that hung on the wall, displaying a TV program on a particular channel, with another door that stood on the very wall as the TV. To his right was his large window and sets of chairs with another transparent table, a little bigger than the other one, with a fridge standing besides. There was a bottle of wine on the table with a wine glass lying carelessly on the table. He recalled drinking a lot and sleeping soundly like a baby till he
“So where is Brent?” she asked and Lea shook her head, becoming moody all of a sudden, confusing Ann. By the way, what time is it? Ann needed to go to church today since it was a Saturday and her family was always in charge of the church cleaning. Not only that, Brent was supposed to travel that morning to the states where he would study for about two months, a long time for the trio best friends.“Lea!”“He left. He went already and was really disappointed that you couldn’t wake up so we could both tell him our “See you soon”, and send him off with smiles on our faces.”She told Ann who just closed her eyes, feeling as a disappointment and a terrible person, she felt so guilty.“Anyhow, he said we should take care and count the days like shooting stars, cuz in no time he will be back. Although he didn’t want me to see him off at the air
