SHOW YOURSELF

Mabel got ready for school in the morning and said goodbye to Amy. Maria had left earlier, mentioning that she had a lot to do and needed to arrive at school early.

Mabel waited a little longer until it was almost a few minutes past eight. Eventually, she said to Amy, "I need to go. I would've called Armstrong, but I don't think he's done with his meeting, and I don't want to disturb him. He must be very busy, so just take care of yourself, okay? I'll see you later."

Amy replied, "All the best," and waved her goodbye.

After Mabel left the house, she walked out of her street to hail a cab to school. However, she spotted Bastian in his car, honking to get her attention. He opened the door and stepped out when Mabel turned away from him, rolling her eyes.

"Hold on, Mabel," he said.

"What do you want?" she snapped.

"I just need to talk to you," he replied calmly.

"I have no interest in what you want to say," Mabel replied. "Do not come close to me or try to speak to me."
