I CAN'T LOSE HER

At the hospital, Charles sat by Ivy's bedside. She had not regained consciousness since he rescued her and brought her to the hospital. As he stared at her body, he was reminded of when he had also seen Hannah's dead body.

He held Ivy's hands and began to cry. Raya, who had been standing outside, came in at this point and hugged him from behind.

"I can't lose Ivy," he cried. "I can't lose her, Raya. This is all my fault. Raya, I don't think I can live without Ivy. If I lose her, then I cannot live anymore."

"Do not say that," Raya replied. "Ivy will get well, okay? She will wake up for your sake."

Right at this point, Ivy's parents, including Mrs. Harold, arrived. They all stared at her condition in surprise. Her mom broke down and began to cry, while Mrs. Harold tried to comfort her.

Mr. Harold stood by her bedside and turned his face to look at Charles, who was crying.

"This is all my fault," Charles kept saying. "I shouldn't have taken her, I shouldn't have let her come with me
