As I watched Kaine’s car disappear into the distance, taking Freda and the physician with him, a surge of determination coursed through my veins.

I knew I had to find a way to protect Freda, to keep her safe from Kaine’s clutches. And then an idea struck me like a bolt of lightning, illuminating my path forward.
