Isadora's POV

The smile on Eamon's face vanished instantly.

Undeterred, I continued, "If I remember correctly, the worst days of my life were by your side, Eamon. With you, there was no truth, just countless lies. You cheated on me multiple times, and because of your infidelity, I lost my baby. You never had time for me, always busy with one nonsense or the other—pack this or pack that. Why in hell do you think I would ever wish to go back to that type of life, Eamon? You are more miserable than I imagined you to be."

I kept going with the insults as Eamon yelled out at the top of his voice, rubbing his hands on his hair, "Enough of the insults, Isadora! Clearly, you didn't come here to fix things between us."

Adjusting his suit with a straight face, Eamon asked, "How can I help you, Isadora Philip?"

I responded sharply, "I do not answer to that name anymore. It's Lady Isadora to you now, First Lady of the South."

Eamon laughed mockingly, sizing me up with a look of disgust. "Nice try
