Isadora's POV

With no news or development on the Queen's son's whereabouts, the weight of becoming the next queen pressed heavily on my chest. Seeking a moment of solitude in the early hours of the morning,while everyone was still asleep,before the burial, I decided to spend some time alone in the Queen's chambers on the top floor.

Approaching the door, I overheard a voice, crying in a sober tone, saying, "I'm sorry to disappoint you, Mother. Please forgive me."

Immediately, as I heard the voice, my heart skipped a beat. Just as I held the door handle to open it, a thick voice stopped me in a commanding tone, saying, "Don't. I wouldn't do that if I were you." Despite the warning, there was something about the voice that drove me crazy.

I contemplated for a few more seconds whether to go in or not. The voice repeated yet again, "Go away now, while you still can. Don't say I didn't warn you," thundering with authority.
