Chapter 714

The chauffeur remained quiet for a moment.

“Your thoughtfulness moved me more than any amount of money ever could, Ms. Gwynn.”

He proceeded to tell her everything he knew. “Ms. Gianna was infuriated after she saw the paper. She downed a whole bottle of whiskey and I had to send her to the hospital in the middle of the night.

“The next evening, Mr. Noah visited her and stayed there for about three hours.”

Gee. Three hours.

She giggled faintly.

He proceeded gingerly. “Ms. Gianna was so happy that she bought a hand-tailored gown after she was discharged. One of the servants was a blabbermouth and she told me that the gown was worth a million dollars. On top of that, she bought it with Mr. Noah’s bank card.”

Then, he stopped, not wanting to upset her.

Picking up the cup of tea, she took a sip of the Earl Grey tea. She said halfheartedly, “Noah must’ve done a wonderful job at soothing her.”
