Putting Gwynn’s friend in the back seat, Noah sat in the car with Gwynn next to him and their backs turned to the chauffeur. Reaching out, he knocked on the partition and said, “Take us to the nearest hospital.”

“Right away, Mr. Noah.” The chauffeur nodded and stepped on the gas pedal.

Gwynn was still feeling dizzy up to this point. Once she came back to her senses, she was kneeling on the floor, holding her comatose friend’s hands. With tears in her eyes, she muttered, “Hang in there. You’re going to be fine.”

He leaned back on the seat.

With his slick hair, the bloodstain on his white shirt did nothing to diminish his good looks. Pulling out a cigarette from its packet, he held it in his lean fingers, but he didn’t light it up. Knocking it lightly, he looked at the innocent young lady condescendingly.
