“I’m going to call for the doctor!” Noah rose immediately, but Gwynn grabbed his arm with her shriveled fingers, which were uncharacteristically strong now.

Her eyeballs dilated. The next thing she knew, she could no longer see Noah clearly even though she was looking right at him. It was as if someone put a veil in front of her eyes.

The cancerous cells must’ve spread through to her eyeballs. She was slowly losing her sight now.
