Sleeping Beauty

[ Denise's POV ]

When Mavis asked me why I kissed him, I lied to him. It wasn't for fun though, but it's clearly not because I feel something for Mavis. After what Jake did to me, I have decided to lock my heart from loving someone again, because I am really scared of getting my heart broken again, I don't want to go through a painful heartbreak again.

I had to put on a serious face so that Mavis wouldn't think I enjoyed the kiss. I enjoyed kissing Mavis last night, his lips were just so soft and sweet. I had to wipe my lips in order to convince him that I meant what I said.

I laughed when Mavis asked if I was beginning to fall in love with him, I didn't laugh just to spite him, I laughed because it was funny. He still has this believe that I am going to fall in love with his handsome face, but love isn't for me, and I am already regretting kissing him back. That's why I didn't want to talk about the kiss, but Mavis kept insisting on finding out why I kissed him.

He got up from the ch
