Chapter 9

  Rosa then saw a beautiful lady with blonde hair was sitting at the corner of the cafe. It's still early and there is only one stranger here, which means the stranger is the florist. Rosa gives her baby to Sophia and happily, Sophia takes the baby and brings her to the office which had become Rosa and the baby's private office room.

    When Rosa comes near to the lady, the lady smile and they both greet each other.

“Call me Rosa.” Rosa acts friendly with the florist.

“My name is Jessica but you can call me Jess.” The lady is very beautiful and her voice is sweet.

“Jess.” Rosa smile.

“I have been told by Zack that your florist shop is not far from here. I am sorry for not be able to visit your place and had you come here instead.”

“Don’t worry about that. The shop is handled by me and my brother. My brother can handle everything over there and our shops are not busy early in the morning.”

“I will not waste our time then. As you can see the café looks too boring. I like the colors and the design, it looks neat but it feels quite stuffy with black paint everywhere. I think if there is some touch of natural plants in here, it will be much better. What do you think?”

    Jess look around and of course, she had been here and notice this boring design café. It feels like she didn’t belong here. Everything is black and white. Even the canvas art on the wall didn’t help much, it makes the café looks more like entering an office building.

   Listening to the new manager of this café, she feels very excited to share her idea about the interior design of this café. She didn’t hesitate to open up her catalog that was full of green plants and flowers and shows it to Rosa. She points at several pictures from her catalog and explains everything of her opinion to place the plants and the flower at several parts of this café.

    Jessica is a very dedicated florist, Rosa could see, she loves her job and she has great taste in interior design. Not only she recommends her plants and flower, but she also gives her some suggestion of some canvas arts and furniture to put in this café.

   After three hours, they finally had confirmed their design and Jess also had ready a rough budget for the decor. It was quite over the budget but Rosa didn’t mind it as she knows, customers love beautiful places and it is very important to let her customer feel comfortable and happy when entering the café in the future.

    Today she was very busy with testing Zack's new cakes and also having an interview for barista and chef. There are quite many who come for the interview and because she interviews chefs and baristas, she and Zack had to watch their skills and taste their food and drinks.

    As soon the interview is over and promises the interviewee she will contact after two days, she quickly packs her things to go back. She remembers that her big boss is stubborn enough not wanting to discard the rules and she is afraid that Louis will burn the house if he tries again to cook.

   Just as she thought, when she entered the house, she smells burning things from the kitchen. She quickly opens all the windows and runs to the kitchen.

“Boss! I told you to not cook again.” Rosa worried her baby will be suffocated with the smells, she opens the sliding door that connects to the kitchen and put her baby chair outside and put her baby there too.

    Louis was quite surprised to see Rosa come back early. He glances at the clock wall and saw she had come back two hours earlier than she should.

“The rules…” Before he could answer fully, Rosa cuts his words.

“Yes. I know the rules. I am worried you will burn the house that is why I come back early. I will teach you how to cook for several days and see if you can nurture it.”

    Louis looks happy when he heard that Rosa will teach him to cook. He nods several times and quickly told her what he wants to cook today.

    To witness the big guy with a messy beard nodding and look happy when she offers to help him, she thought her big boss look like an obedient giant dog. She sighs with relief when the big boss agrees with her. Today at work, she seems to remember that she forgot to ask Louis whether he will cook again or not. 

    If Louis had changed his mind by not cooking, she will be very glad that she doesn’t need to be concern about this anymore but if Louis still wants to cooks, she had to make a deal with him. This will make her feel quite a burden but because of the rules, and because Louis is her big boss and also her landlord, she must respect his decision.

   After all the smell of burning is clear, she takes her baby and the baby chair inside again. With patience, she starts to teach him basic cooking again. This time Rosa didn’t rush him and let him do everything while she watches him do it. It takes two hours for them to finish the simplest spaghetti bolognas.

   Rosa chuckled when she saw Louis wiping his sweat with a big smile. Louis feels very happy for completing his first dish ever. However, when she takes a look at the kitchen, she sighs secretly. The kitchen looks so messy and by just looking at it, she feels very tired.

“Don’t worry. I will clean the kitchen before we sleep.” Louis assures her.

“Good.” Rosa nod.

    Damia looks very excited when Louis puts down the spaghetti on the dining table but when she saw her mother only put a bowl of strained carrot in front of her, her face immediately shows dissatisfaction.

“My lady, look. I also cook your food today. It must be very good!”

    As soon he said that her baby face immediately turns happy and happily let Louis feed her.

   Rosa shakes her head when she remembers she wanted to cuts the carrot but she had been stopped by Louis because he wants to do it too. This big guy reminds her son, he is exactly like her son. He wants to do everything that she does. Feeling a sting in her nose, she shakes her head again to stop reminiscence her son.
